Well that doesn’t matter because I logged in after 10 hours and I’m STILL in a party with someone. I’m afraid to kick him now because I’m in the middle of Arah and cba to restart… lol

Autokick is 10 minutes and if you both log out during that time frame you will both stay in that party indefinitely. And yif you want to get rid of that someone then ask a friend to join your party, kick him and let the friend leave the party.

They keep on making it “easier” for the incoming “waves” of players while somewhat neglecting their current player base which most have already thrown quite a bit of real life cash at them. Maybe they feel any new players will do the same, if not more.

I had a few long discussions lately with friends about the business model of GW2 and how their company policy perfectly matches a certain form of business model that, while it might be successful, wil be a very alienating concept for loyal long term customers and people used to a different business model from mmorpgs in the past like GW1.

Sadly, in an quick and/or superficial analysis of that business model, dungeons like those in GW2 are actually harmful for the company’s revenue. So investing manpower or money into them is actually detrimental from that point of view.

I thought about starting a topic about that but honestly, that would mostly listing why in the current business model of GW2 dungeons – as they are now – are actually a problem for the revenue, so I’ll refrain from that here as well.
And the only 2 things I could come up with to make them worthwhile were either something that is not on the table (an xpac) or only remotely feasible/connected to a lot of negative PR (selling access to new dungeons via the gemshop).
The uproar in the community why LS for example is free if you manage to log in at least once in a fortnight and the new dungeons were part of the gemshop only would be most likely enormous.
And those really interested in new dungeon would probably only spend gold for gems to buy access anyway, since dungeon running when done effectively is quite lucrative in terms of gold.

Oh and I fully expect this post to be mod-bombed sooner or later. Despite that I couldn’t find anything in the forum rules or code of conduct this post actually violates.

Because at the point I really noticed we were almost done with the second frac. I always have a friend with me (which thankfully can play well) who’d kill me if I leave and also dislike kicking even though she agrees that they’re kittened and it kittenes her off, don’t ask me why. So I’m stuck with them…

I wish I had a good reason to remain logged in for more than 5 minutes these days.

From what I hear, the game can be used as a nice chatroom with beautifully animated backrounds. Some even interactive to boot!

LA is for peasants, Royal Terrace is where the party’s at.

This isn’t good… If a pug is ticking me off in arah, I now equip balanced stance and endure pain and get lupi to bubble them.

So I got my hands on some internal alpha build of BlackDesert, holy kitten it looks good, even for a pre-beta build. While playing around found some seriously impressive stuff. If you go in water then you, your skin, and your close will actually get WET. What blew me away is that if you just run though a puddle of water – only the part that actually touched the water will be wet. If I get fully submerged then everything from head to toe will be wet as expected. Skin, panties, leather jacket, everything will realistically be looking wet.

Also, if you hit NPC’s (or whatever) it will properly react to how you hit it, both in direction and intensity. Like, if you hit a guy from the side he will properly try to “balance” himself back like a human would when kicked…

Thats not surprising. Whenever i used to do fractals/dungeons with my old casual guild. Half the members would down and never rally. They would keep trying to use 4 instead of tagging a mob. Many of these players had multiple 80’s, 6k+ AP and i was even on ts with some of them telling them to rally. They didnt understand…..

I was running some CoE yesterday and filled my open group spot(s) with PUGs, as usual. One of them told me my mes should skip the golem fight in the lasers room and just jump to the other side (and then portal, I guess) because it’s faster.
Seriously? And then they were standing so long in front of Mark T-B34RC3 that my portal actually got off CD again before the fight xD Way to save time!

Please tell me this is not common among PUGs.

@spoj: Yeah I noticed that too… But I don’t see how the concept of Downed State is too much. I can completely understand if you’re thinking “wtf is going on now” if you get downed for the first time, simply because it’s something rather unusual. But after a few times you should notice what’s up.

On the other hand it seems the stable guardian is getting some nice buffs to make it even stronger in PvE.
