New stability and Inquest Technicians
I’m sure there are many many situations they haven’t considered.
With all the major propositions they have namely defiance and stability changes it sure would be nice if they would be a bit more open and discuss the idea and ask for input. You know, maybe there’s something they overlooked and WE COULD HELP THEM or something…
But, I guess it’s company policy to be heard headed and ignore your community assuming the devs are far more knowledgeable in every aspect than the people who play this game passionately.
I presume you are talking about Arah p2?
Where there are a lot of them all together (a lot of teams will stelth past).
Thankfully you could also spawn grubs and the inquest will target lock onto these enabling you to kill quickly.
I somehow hope that all mobs with a big number of attacks wich currently require long stabilities will be looked at including : CM P1/P2 (Rifle boss).
AC: Gravelings will be fun in p1 (with mounds), P2-Gravelings again on the traps.
Anywhere else anyone can think of?
I think they have considered it. It is not like they will stun the entire party at the same time anyway. This might encourage less skipping or at least make mistakes less forgiving.
make mistakes less forgiving
This is exactly what ANet wants to avoid. Players bottlenecking parties is why there is so much “toxicity” going around, and more of that will just create more “toxicity” and dividing of the “community”.
to be faceroll at the high levels, because it
needs to be accessible to the casuals and bads.
I’ve seen a few lfg asking for thieves for some arah paths. They’re not the majority, but depending on the way this change affects skipping, you can bet it would become most LFG and people would go on and on on the forums about the “toxicity” of class elitism. Particularly as, apart from using stealth, classes with access to invuln/block skills would still have a much easier time to get through this.

Most people use a thief in casual runs these days anyway.

To bad they think Shadow Refuge is the only stealth skill in the game.

Neither of those require any stability.Unless stability gives damage reduction I don’t really see how eating all those attacks would be any worse under new system.

I would never waste a util on stability for any of these things
Not only enemies with chained CC, but also bigger groups of enemies that spam CC on you. Since they could burn through your stability so quickly and keep you under perma CC, the best way out of it I’m seeing is to give players (especially for solo situations where you become the only target for enemies) the unshakable buff. ^^
Anyway, I’m pretty sure that the whole stability rework thing will also include rebalancing many monster skills as some encounters would become… quite unbalanced.
Sounds good for me.

You do realize this entire expansion is super exaggerated to bring back players and get new players, if they revealed the content for the community to give feedback, people would realize how mediocre its going to be and the hype would be gone.
I’m pretty sure I missed it – what’s this “new stability” going to do?

intensity stack that can be stripped through just pure CC (player version of current defiance).
EDIT: obviously its not gonna change anything with the current balance of PvE content as far as PvE is concerned but of course its part of a future speculative depending on if there is more support coming in the way of dungeon content.

Do you think they’ve considered this situation?
No?
