The people who whine are the ones who join a speedrun group because they want their group to go very fast. They don’t want zerk gear though and just wanna play the way they want. They mainly want to get carried by the speedrun group, but don’t want to contribute.

These people can post their own party “AC party, non-zerk builds welcome” And do it with like minded people. But then it takes longer and they get upset.

Then they get kicked from a speedrun group and come to the dungeon forums to call us elitist.

It was when it was massive 15 energy so you had to actually use it as you saw the enemy warrior warriors spiking instead of having it become Draw Conditions fodder ;o

As much as non-interrupt midline goes, even though it’s considered a female dog role, if you had people not doing it right (mainly not cancel-casting and eating Dshot), it had a huge impact on whether your team survived or not, compared to interrupt midlines who determine whether you’re pressuring the opponent or not. A good water ele would also watch for incoming flag-runners and overextended past the enemy team to snare it like a ranger would without the safety of Natty Stride or Lightning Reflexes.

Rupt-wise, GW1 servers was also biased towards euros anywho especially when NA teams met EU and so they played on euro servers.

I’m only on ~2300 hours total. Anet points at 10k since I stopped caring around Flame & Frost. BiFrost & Meteorlogicus. Stopped at spvp 39 since exodus of Gw1 buddies at around the bunker meta/duel well necros period. Guess I’m about 50% more efficient as would be dictated by zerker vs pvt?

Edit: Ele main and ofc hating the current spvp meta.

I seem to be with OP. I look at Dungeon Finder. While people still ask that you know the run, no one asked for Zerker only, except for in CoF. I’m wearing Zerker gear with Cavalier trinkets. 3k power, maybe 3.5k with the usual 15 stacks of might or so. I forget. I say, as long as you know how to dodge, and your gear isn’t green You should be given a chance.

Nah you could just do it through specific boss fight mechanics. You could easily make people not go full out dps if you put in something that would reflect a percentage of the damage back at them. You could make it so that wouldn’t be hard for a balanced stat team to deal with, but it would be hard for a full zerk team.

Toughness has no effect on damage like that. Vitality makes you last bit longer. Healing Power doesn’t increase your heals that much. I don’t see why people would use them.
I think people would just run Berserker and then get out of combat.

But anyways I was assuming normal encounters and not ones with kittened mechanics (where it doesn’t matter what you do as long as you have the right gear).

If there were 8 players from NA and 8 players from EU there was 50% chance which server you get.

Shiro without any Celestial cheese was pretty punitive to Glass builds. (esp. melee).

And not just b/c he’d steal the equivalent of the highest amount of damage done to him in any packet…. His super fast attack interval, and the constant teleporting around to random people also kept it pretty interesting. Any boss that did that in this game would really make most people think twice about just feeding it higher lifesteal and relying on dodging only.

Anyways if that would be dangerous to good Berserker groups then it would literally wipe out average pug, regardless of their gear. Which was exactly my point.

Those stats look really good. Base 24% chance to crit is drool worthy. If only you could clone yourself so there were 5 of you: you could clear AC story mode in under an hour!

Yes, over 4100 attack, while having the critical chance above 40 % (44% in my case) and not having to worry about getting 1 shotted when a boss or a mob sneezes ( over 3500 armor, and normally 22 000 hp and not 21 000 as you can not see in screenshot) is totally gonna ruin your dungeon run, totally, yes ptv IS BAD long live berserker, thank you for opening my eyes random xyz.

You are totally not wasting dps dodging and running to stay alive, while I am meleeing the boss 99% OF THE TIME…totally.

Do you folk actually play the game outside your small circle, do you see the reality? 99% of the so called berserker PRO’s I meet drop down in 1st TEN seconds of a fight.

The only dungeon I spend an hour in, is daily 48 and when we use to do the daily fotm 80 (back in the days when than was possible).

On the other hand I don’t know why I took the bate and reply… the fact that you don’t think 44% critical chance is not enough to constantly land critical hits, is depressing enough.

For anyone outside their small circle, in my view:

• Berserker= burst
• PTV = sustained
• Cleric=useless
  The rest of the armor sets are also important depending on the class, the traits, utilities and weapon used.

Trivializing this to berserker or GTFO= narrow mind.

I think you proved your ability when you said you run PVT in high level fractals.

I don’t just say it I show it, in a previous screen. Not to mention that with a warrior buffing I can reach over 5000 attack in PTV…. that thing does wonder to my GS Whirling wrath (which I use standing next to boss or group of mob, without having to waste a hit by dodging or running away).

I am not saying berserker is not ONE of the optimal ways to play a dungeon, but dismissing PTV, just because of pulled out of the kitten numbers and calling ppl bad for using it, it’s just malicious and plain wrong.

By using conversion traits and food buffs, you can actually benefit from having a lot of toughness (half of my precision is from that) , basically you can build die hard chars that can do more dps than the average berserker. Again I’m not talking about top players, I am talking about the average Joe who comes here reads this and thinks: “I iz noob if I not use zerk gear, I must use zerk and call ppl noobs, then I iz GOOD” …these guys die before landing a 1hb or WW.

Just FYI, Attack isn’t actually a real stat. It is calculated from Power + Weapon strength and that value isn’t even used in damage calculations (it is Power * Weapon strength). Big part of your damage comes from Precision and Critical Damage and those aren’t included in Attack.

PVT gets better Attack than PPC (because some consumables/conversion traits give Power based on Vitality and Toughness) but that doesn’t prove anything.

44% crit chance means that on average less than half of your hits will crit. Yes, it is a “feeling” of constant crits, not actual constant crits.

At first I was like “Wow, nice stats! I could totally mix those a bit and make a nice WvW build” but then I realised you were being deliberately vague with “self buffs”.
