I think everyone should run magic find armour now explorers OP, until they change how magic find works. Im only a casual so I guess it don’t affect me.

That being said I am strongly against cleric gear, PVT on the other hand is perfectly acceptable, specially in high lvl fotms .

I can assure you I meant what I said. When people still farmed CoF, most zerkers were elitists. I would know because I was one of them, that believed a group with mesmer and 3+ wars could usually clear the path faster than any other group simply because of the constant might stack uptime you could expect . If an engi or necro joined, they would of course get instant kicks. Even if you were a warrior and had crap gear, such as greens or PVT gear with dolyak runes, I’d also kick you for failing to read. However I have run with a few experienced ranger/ele/thief to realize that their buffed DPS is better than what wars can provide. So I was elitist in my belief that full zerk was optimal for CoF speed runs. As I said, the number of these elitist posts have gone down, that doesn’t mean those people have changed their views. Its simply that the game doesn’t favor elitist attitudes anymore.

I hated that people wouldn’t allow my shout heal, banner regen forceful GS condi burn warrior into CoF farming groups. I did that path once for my DM and that was it.

Skillful and gw2 don’t go too well together, but then again, we go back to Dunning-Kruger Effect. Not understanding that is the issue. -)

I can accept that zerker is one of the efficient ways to complete dungeons, what I can’t accept is that some random self entitled pros are telling the rest of the world that PVT is not viable and that is bad.

The fact that I can accept that I don’t hold the absolute truth makes me immune to DK effect.

On the other hand lets check the symptoms and see if you recognize yourself in them
(Dunning and Kruger proposed that, for a given skill, incompetent people will)

• tend to overestimate their own level of skill;
• fail to recognize genuine skill in others;
• fail to recognize the extremity of their inadequacy;
• recognize and acknowledge their own previous lack of skill, if they are exposed to training for that skill.

There’s a few of those in the guild I’m in, saying “well it just involves memorising attacks”. Well sure, that’s a big part of it but you actually need to hone your reflexes. They’ve still yet to show me video evidence of their Lupicus solo kills however, since they don’t touch Arah with a ten foot pole.

Yeah exactly, people who go down that route of criticism never seem to have accomplished the more difficult tasks in this game, STRANGELY

• You don’t actually know how good they are, so you can’t really say that they overestimate their level of skill, but there ARE quite a few [rT] and [DnT] (and [HC]) videos on YT that show what they are capable of.
• It’s true they can’t really know how skillful you actually are, but that’s not the point. They are arguing about your gear. They CAN survive without the defensive stats that PVT provides and still provide the same utility being in a max dps spec. That is a fact. If you need pvt gear, then by all means play the way its more comfortable for you, no one forces you to change your ways.

OP said “No one cares what armor you wear…. if your not doing speed clears” and if you bother reading those early posts you’ll see most people agreed to the concept of casual pug = anything goes, speed run pug = berserker.

I doubt that anyone here is going to say your inadequate, doing fractals at level 80 isn’t a small feat. What they will say however -this being a thread about speed running - is that you are not it quickly.

no…. it really doesn’t. You come into a thread about [speed running] and try to tell them that pvt is viable. Every post you have made has been about pvt being viable in speed runs you have been refusing to accept that an all berserker party could be better.

Thinks that pvt gear can kill things just as quick as berserker

The only time he’s mentioned that [rT] and [DnT] members are skillful is offhanded to make himself immune to this “Dunning Kruger” effect

[rT]‘s Arah 1 video was 11 minutes. if you can show them a video of a group using PVT gear that can do it close to that time I am sure they’ll accept it as a viable option.

Until then I’m sure they’ll agree with “you can wear your pvt gear, just don’t claim to be speed running”

cleric’s gear is viable too. viable means you can finish the dungeon. running NAKED is viable

The difference between viable and optimal is vast.

The is only one viable once the optimal is a known quantity.

Everything is easy when you have a good group. Running with bad pugs is where it’s at. Pugging Fractals 20+ is probably objectively harder than running 48+ with an organized guild group. Then again I don’t really do either so I dunno.

And don’t worry about their trolling, they like to think a conversation is something like a “fight” they can win by outnumbering you ;p They think running with full zerker group and killing everything in few seconds are SKILLS, when there is no chance to show any skills if they kill something in 10 seconds. Seriously, doing dungeon in few minutes and making it a record is not a reason to call someone pro… xD “we are the best in pve!!!1111” yeah, best at spamming boons and 1111111111 :P

My PVT stats self buffed only,:
(wvw reset day so my hp is 1 000 lower than normal)

Must be a sheer coincidence that you also have condition damage on 635 which is most likely the result of about 15+ stacks of might on you, meaning you don’t have that much power…
And for the rest…You can easily have those attributes with the right buff food and so on, but that doesn’t mean that you are in any way better than a zerker lol. Especially the missing critical damage and chance results in you doing much lesser damage than any average zerker running around.
