I don’t understand why people stack and LOS at the left side of the door in CoE. It’s faster to just go in and pull the trash together into a wall and LOS them in the hallway than for them to wait and come to you.

When people don’t LOS the flame legion igniters at the start of CoF 2 it makes them a lot harder to kill. When you pack them together and cleave them down they are easy, but spread out they can wreck a party.

Wannabe zerker elitists who make “LF pros to melee lupi” groups and they wipe at phase 2.

What else comes to mind?

Guardians who force me to take defensive utilities on my ele instead of allowing me to go full yolo damage mode.
Ele’s that dont might stack.
Warriors that dont banner.
ANYTHING that interferes with my fire fields. Im looking at you guardians and necro’s.

People that don’t listen is my number 1 pet peeve.

“p1, exp zerks only” < I join the group and ping my ascended zerk armor, weps, and trinks < group leader says “you dont need to ping, I trust you” < we enter the dungeon < we wipe due to low DPS…

So then I say “DPS was too low. I dont think you guys are zerk. Ping your gear.” < PVT, clerics, magi’s… zzzzzz

I don’t mind less than stellar builds/skill in dungeons, as I don’t mind carrying people through Arah, it’s the utter lack of listening/responding and makes me frustrated.

I think I’m perfectly fine with 3 lvl 25 necros in AC as long as I my PS warrior has an ele in the party.

If even a single person doesnt fully LoS them or even runs in late it quickly becomes a clusterkitten. Also, if you don’t reflect the ice spikes from elementals = wipe. Same goes if you don’t bait out the wolf leaps or don’t counter it with stabo.

It’s a simple matter of time vs effort and quite often the effort & coordination needed to pull that all-in-one clear is too kitten high to ask from a pug.

This too. Although, nothing, and I mean NOTHING, is worse than a guard spamming hammer or symbols of swiftness/wrath when im might-stacking on ele. I see 6x Area Retal and I die a little inside…. then the rage errupts into /party chat.

I just did an “experienced” (quoting LFG) pug AC 1/3.

With a condition ranger that longbow camped the burrows.

Also died on the way to spider queen.

Twice.

Stacking on top of the rock for gravelings after spider queen in AC.
Guardians that empower after I finish stacking might with Ele.
Jumping up the ledge in Arah p3 after Crusher.
Ranging the dredge car in SE p3.

The only thing that really bugs me in PUG runs are the players who get mad and rude and yell at everybody else for mistakes or for being anything less than “perfect”. If you wanted a perfect speedrun, why did you join my casual “All welcome!” group? :P

Players who insist on you doing things a dumb way because it is all they know.

People who attack at boss on high health from the downed state when I’m reviving them, especially when they’re in a shadow refuge.

Anyone that does anything remotely similar to what Varra Skylark or Randall Weyston do can kiss my purple a__.

That is, aggro trash mobs then run over to me as if they’re waiting for me to praise them. “Good job! Here, have a dog biscuit!” No, derelict. Face the conseqences and accept your fate— you do NOT bring your crap to me.

I have an issue with new guys who don’t say they’re new. This isn’t just some kind of oppressive elitism, either. I form the group with the LFG title “All welcome”, and when all players arrive, I ask if anyone is new to the dungeon or doesn’t know what to do, or needs anything to be explained.

Of course, we’ll all sit there for about 3 solid minutes before someone manages a “yes”. But, often times, there will be no response. So, I assume everyone has done the dungeon or knows what to do. The moment we get to a gimmicky boss, the group wipes 3 times in a row before someone says “lol I don’t no wut to do here lol”. Its like, why didn’t you say something in the first place? Why did I have to watch your butt get destroyed three times before you thought it might be prudent to bring up your lack of knowledge on the matter?

People saying that full zerker has no place on fractals… To be more lol, i think it was at tier 10-19

People pulling mobs on to me while I solo a boss to pop a waypoint, people who get angry at other party members for failing a skip when all four of them are dead on the floor, people pressuring others to run meta when I create groups with no requirements. Having a Mesmer call 3 other people in the group casual for not knowing how Brie works despite admitting they were new was honestly just sad. The guy was being smug despite being a GS Mesmer and having to use the boat skip because chaining stealth is too hard apparently.

Yeah, the attitudes of some players bugs me. As for stealth and mesmers it’s pretty easy for them to do most trash skips now with the ability to trait PU on the fly.

Jesus christ I can relate to this so well. I seriously cannot stand the silent treatment. It’s unbearably annoying.

The same thing applies to when I’m selling a path or whatever. I don’t care if someone joins and admits they made a mistake and/or didn’t know I was selling. If they’re responding to me I won’t be upset. However when someone ignores me when I mention their name, ask if they’re buying, and I see their blue dot wandering around the map… kitten that person. Selfish, rude, and pathetic.

and see 4 people take of to do a speedclear without taking any time
to explain anything at all and then start noobcalling 8-)

this made me dislike dungeons and so far i avoided them like the plague
ps: above happened with one guy i knew and even he didnt take any time to explain anything.

Its not playing for fun but just playing for fast profit.

:( Unfortunately unless there is a person willing to teach or the group is made with the intent to teach you are joining something that people want to complete.

I rec you just slot this in the lft " X dungeon Newbie pls teach me" Someone if not me will pop in cuz I “enjoy” doing that. at times.

well if they dont want me just say so, i have no problem with that.

either accept im new and take some time, or say you wanne do speedclear no newbies allowed.
Dont accept me in your party knowing im new and then take off like im not there.

edit: its not that anyone has to teach me something if they dont want that.
Its not telling new players you dont wanne take time and then blame them for their mistakes.

You can say you’re new all you want but it still doesn’t mean anyone in the group is obligated to teach you, it just means they should cut you more slack if you do something wrong.

Honestly also I learned quite a bit just by watching people do things and emulating. One doesnt need to actually speak to you to learn common speed clear techniques. Just keep your eyes open and do what others do.

No one ingame is obligated to teach you anything. Sure its nice but Id take forever to get anything done if I stopped to type and teach everyone I ran across that was doing something silly.

People that don’t use the best tools that their profession has to offer in a dungeon.

- No banner (strength and discipline only) from warrior
- No might, fury or FGS from Ele (don’t need all, but at least some of those at some point)
- No spotter or frost spirit from Rangers
- No blind or Aegis or Binding Blades or Walls from a Guardian
- No stealth from a Thief???
- No Vulnerability from a Engineer. Come on.
- No Time Wrap or Pull or Push from a Mesmer.
- No … I don’t really care what you bring or don’t bring with your Necro honestly.

Edit : Oh and people that bring low level even if they have 5000 k Achivement points. Bring you level 80 and switch at the end like everybody else.

People who complain but lack the communication skills to actually say what the problem is.

Those don’t really tell me anything…

I’m always happy to try and learn new ways of doing things. But when the only way you can vocalize the new strategy is “dude!” I’m not gonna follow you, sorry. I’ll keep using my methods unless you can at least demonstrate the ability to complete a sentence.

Other than that,

People who refuse to stack, even when asked. Sorry you’re gonna get kicked.

People who join as a 5th for my set group of 4 then start to try to do everything and screwing us up. If you’re the 5th to a guild just sit back, relax, and come along for the ride =).

People that don’t use consumable buffs. I’m not after people popping the good stuff, but at least use something like Blackberry Pie or Steak & Asparagus just to show you’re at least trying.

I take FGJ, disc banner and fury sig because I don’t want to compromise my DPS in a group where I expect people to eat the floor.

I also take 30/25 or 30/30 builds in to pugs.

I would never do that freakin’ build in a pug… EVER. Not even if offered money to. 66002 is the best you’ll get.
