This is correct. If the crystal breaks the same second it was created, it glitches whoever was trapped inside.
And you can bet ANet won’t fix it, because no one is supposed to destroy the crystal that quickly.
And explorable paths should all take 45 minutes.

I can confirm this. Even without FGS #4 if you have 25 might on the entire party and are just hammering away, you will kill it instantly too. Resulting in the character that was inside being glitched out for 15/25 seconds.
Agreed, It used to bug on me way back in the day even as Warrior when we were being Time Warped in which it would be impossible to deal any damage while I was inside of it.
However, on another aspect of this, Does it seem to freeze(bug) on the highest DPS in party, or a random member?
I know as a FGS ele, it does tend to crystal me semi-often. However, I dont know if party members get it, when it doesnt happen etc or even keep track. Does anyone have maybe any better ancedotal evidence on who he will target? Maybe the puller?

They take 45 minutes! In bad pugs.
It is Anet’s way of saying, go Cleric’s or Soldier’s! Anything else and you will be frozen for doing too much dmg. It’s the Anti-exploit program.
Hmmm… I think the bug might be related to the issue that objects don’t vanish properly when destroyed. Either the bug occurs because of animation locking, or a case of dangling pointers and server-client code not updating properly. 2c for it.
Note 1: Objects seem to have a behavior to run when it updates as dead, therefore that might be the case.
This is still broken after the feature patch anet.
The whole game is broken. Crystal glitch happens only in high dps parties and for anet to fix something affects only those “zerks only” parties, haha good joke… :’(
From a couple of months ago: this bug is most likely related to the ‘hotfix’ they added with turrets – I think it did something because objects on the open-world don’t vanish immediately right now unlike before.
This is still broken after the feature patch anet.
