There was a post at reddit about a exploit that you can get the end chest repeatedly in a dungeon and hit lv80 in no time. Maybe that’s it.
I saw a post the other day (can’t find it now) saying the last boss was constantly spawning chests and xp reward after defeat. Guess that is being fixed.

Now that this issue is addressed:
It’s because if you finish the instance with at least on character in the party that that doesn’t have story, the pop-up reward (exp. and some copper) will pop endlessly (tried to give story completing to the char, but cannot, so the server keeps trying awarding the party over and over again). Allowing you to level chars in no-time / make about 10g afking per hour with an autoclicker.
Stubled accross this and reported it with my party a few days ago when we doing story for a friend for his dungeon master title doing a TA full run.
As it is now on reddit Anet had to shut down the path instead of fixing the issue quietly as they probably have planned.
Guess some ppl. will now get a a perma-ban by exploiting this knowingly for days.

Actually, it seems that is the only way.
Describe them in detail on reddit and Anet will finally fixed them. Obviously trying to talk to devs, offering PMs for discussing details over months doesn’t work.
Time to go public with all the known exploits, so they are gonna get fixed. Looks like it is the only way to get attention.

Actually just joked during last night’s dungeons about the new LS patch adding clown cars to all dungeons.

LEGIT PATCH NOTES
- Removed old TA story. We felt that the story was no longer relevant to what is currently happening in Tyria, and players have been exploiting a bug which allowed them to quickly level to 80 instead of doing so slowly and casually, which is our intent. As we are unable to fix this bug without completely breaking something else, we have therefore opted to completely replace it with the Aetherpath.
- Replacing the Aetherpath will be a new path that explains what happened to the Aetherblades in the dungeon following Scarlet’s death. This new path will also be level 80. Following feedback from our players, we have also decided to include additional unskippable cutscenes and NPCs to better cater to the audience dungeons were originally designed for: roleplayers.
The boss at the end of this new path will not be Mai Trin, as we have deemed her too difficult to fight from our statistics of the number of players wiping in the relevant fractal encounter. We are therefore introducing a new boss.
- Added Ancient Massive Dredge Car. This new boss will be completely underwater and spit out Molten Alliance and Aetherblade troops with every hit it takes, and has so much health that even the most elite of teams will take hours to destroy it. This mechanic is absolutely necessary to make sure that every player spends an appropriate amount of time in dungeons in order to achieve maximum immersion, which we feel is destroyed by runs that take 5 minutes.
- Added a new NPC: Swiftpaw Sharpclaw. This NPC has very low health and armor, and if she dies the dungeon
bugs outcannot be completed. Our goal here is to make sure you are not using any damage gear sets as you need tocarrycarefully escort Swiftpaw to the end. We are currently investigating a bug that causes this NPC to yell at you for dying too many times and griefing you, and will have it fixed soon.

Well done! I think these are worth mentioning as well:
- The new path will be a special 80-player instance.
- The final boss, “Rephard”, will feature a new mechanic where all 80 party members must stack and autoattack. Moving, dodging, blinding, blocking, or using any skill other than #1 will trigger an immediate explosion that will knock back and put the entire party in the downed state. This will, of course, be followed by the appearance of an AoE circle that indicates where the bomb had exploded.
These changes are intended to unite the open-world PvE experience with dungeoneers.

Ahh, so that’s why the dungeon got patched. I knew there must have been an exploit connected to it. Good to know it’s been fixed. (Just in time too! Was planning to do TA Story for the daily today.)

This is not true I have played with a dev (who said he was on vacation :P) and we exploited something and within the next day they fixed it but that was the only one they fixed :/ Funnily enough when it was reintroduce to fractals the bug was back so take that for what it’s worth.

Ohhhh I remember skimming through this a while ago but I didn’t finish reading it for whatever reason. To be honest I thought yours and Lindbur’s were funnier except I freakin lol’d at when it said “We are very clear on this. This is an exploit. Damage sets, and in particular ‘Berserker’ will not be tolerated within the confines of dungeons.” xD
If you do a comparison, you’ll notice that all my bulleted points are nods to the original one.

LEGIT PATCH NOTES for February 18!
Living story
- Terror is afoot! Scarlet has lost her kitten and now Lion’s arch is in peril!
- Added +150% load times to Lion’s arch. Loading times into this region will now take a minimum of 15 minutes to allow for load time equality for those with slow computer systems.
- Placed a new scroll in the gem store at the price of 1800 gems. This scroll will teleport the user to a completely blank space with nothing in it except for Trading post, Mystic forge, General merchant, crafting stations, personal bank/guild bank, repair vendor and laurel vendor. Load times to reach this destination are under 1 second from any location upon use of this scroll.
- The Lion’s arch lion statue has now morphed into the giant dragon Primord..er Mordremoth. Modremoth bears the exact same resemblance to Tequatl however, beware! There are some leaf particle effects around his shoulders because he is a jungle dragon!
- Mordremoth summons 50 same model jungle wurms, each with a billion HP. For each apothecary axe ranger in the map, the event scales the hitpoint pool of the wurms up by 200%.
- Updated the overflow queuing system. Those with healing and support builds will take priority for ques into the main map. For each Lion’s arch map that the event is to partake, it will not trigger until at least 90% of the player population consists of bearbows and cleric’s guardians. This is to promote fair play as we all know it can take many weeks for people to learn how to swap gear sets and press more than their auto-attack.
- Upon the defeat of Modremoth, the players are teleported to an instance on the Tarnished Coast server in Divinity’s reach. Here the real challenge begins as they must not only sit and watch Kasmeer and ’Jory speak suggestively to one another, but must endure the erotic roleplaying that ensues in the mapchat for the next 30 minutes.
- Completion of this meta event rewards a gigantic dragon armor chest. This reward chest has the 0.5% chance of dropping a super unique skinned ascended apothecary stat Armor piece. This armor set is designed to reflect the extreme contempt that we hold our playerbase in and is based off the Sun God armor thread.
