Whirl is fine, but Fiery Rush is obviously benefiting from an unintended mechanic. It’s “correct” use is non-intuitive. As for a nerf, I’d rather not see that happen. But even if it did, Ele’s would still be a welcome class for fast dungeons.

But I’m sure you like your Elementalist and want to keep it that way.

I’d rather have them nerf all conjures but buff ele abyssal dps. Instead, the former will happen while the latter not. And ele will be like necro, having no unique mechanic that could contribute.

^ As history shows, Arenanet is likely to nerf fiery rush and not compensate eles at all (just like they did with evasive arcana, lightning flash, mist form, etc.)

Sure FGS fiery rush probably isn’t working as intended, but all eles normal weapon skills which are working as intended have kitten damage. Fiery Rush + Lightning Flash relies on a skill with a 40s CD which is very situational and requires another utility slot which eles are already tight on (LH being required almost 100% of the time). Not to mention in less-than-ideal circumstances, they are extremely vulnerable during fiery rush.

No, I don’t think it’s outright problematic, but, mobs in general need to quit being such brainless cattle and start navigating the playing field aside from following a player around. This game’s mechanics are really at their best when player and enemy are both in motion.

Just playing the game shows how Fiery Rush allows you to instantly melt stuff like Lupicus. But I’m sure you like your Elementalist and want to keep it that way.

There’s only a 8 seconds difference between your group best non-fgs kill and the best fgs kill.

After rolling a Guardian, I have to say the most common exploit is playing a Guardian.

We have a winner!

1. No one ever wants a guardian on LFG
2. Every LFG post requests 2 or more eles with FGS
3. I once played a PVP match where a whole team stood in a corner and waited for me to take their whole team down with one fiery rush.
4. No one craft levels 0-80 in a day
5. I am currently not craft leveling a guardian
6. FGS makes pugging so much easier and prevents wipes.
7. You can’t speed run any dungeon unless you have FGS
8. The cool down on FGS is practically zero.
9. My ele has should have 100 blades, WOR, stealth, clones, a pet, turrets, and death shroud.
10. My ele should have a 5th attunement Heart so i can summon Captain Planet.
11. Guardians are the most OP class because they start each day with a well balanced breakfast. Bacon and Aegis.
12. Eles should have Aegis

Eles have one skill that is op on a FEW PVE bosses and should be nerfed? C’mon

Control and support are essential in decent runs but he doesn’t want to have to do these roles while also being a dps and having to pay attention to his dodges.

Truth is most people asking for a “healer role” are just asking for anet to give them the ability to be carried by their group.

Even thieves do support when they use smoke screen and blinding powder to blind trash mobs. Warriors are doing control when they interrupt things with their mace 5. etc. But the one thing all support and control have in common is that they’re not there to the detriment of dps. You don’t have to use “control” gear. Or “support” gear. Guardians will give reflection, aegis, blind, control (ring of warding, line of warding) no matter what they wear.

Baddies want an important “healer role” because they don’t want to have to pay attention to stuff. They want to watch health bars and press the heal buttons.
That’s not how it’s supposed to work. GW2 is not your carry mmo.

there is a thing that really i can t explain.

Why in most dungeons zergballin prevents boss to use their most powerful Attacks while ranged Attacks are low dps?

Whats its the point to stay ranged?
If someone answers “only bad players stay ranged” i perfectly agree….but not because they are BAD at evading, but because its more risk and less reward in DPS, ress, support etc etc etc.

A skilled ranged player is less effective then a bad pug in melee (in a melee Group).

They should balance ranged combat a little because has only downsides as it is.
Range has nothing to do with the trinity since any profession can go ranged…its more than:

PvP team nerfed ranged skills to keep them fair in pvp
PvE team didn t consider that and made so bosses are harder if ranged.

result: zergballs in most (not every) dungeon

They dont have seperate balance teams for pve, pvp and wvw. Which is why pve suffers so much due to pvp balance. Also why necro hasnt been improved to be useful in dungeons.

Videos with 13 and 21 seconds? Lupicus is 5 seconds invulnerable which reduces time to 8 and 16 seconds which is already twice as fast meaning 100% more damage. Then if you remove effect of Feedback (let’s say 3 seconds) it becomes 5 and 13 seconds. which is 160% more damage.

At least I find that bit ridiculous.

You sure you clicked on good link? I see only vigor on crit which is the trait every guardian and mesmer use. Or maybe now bunkers use +10% dmg while >90% and +10% while in 600 range?

Huh?

The only thing that is bunkerish in my build is going from 10 to 20 in water to get cleanse and heal on attuning to water.
And I explain in the discussion that I take them because I can make sure my group is not under 90% hp so we can all use our runes of the scholar (and vital striking), and we are not impeded by weakness or things like this.

I was not aware that bunkers run 30 in air nowadays, pardon my ignorance!
