anyone else having problems looting 1 of these ? ive now done over 50 new dungeon runs have over 300 relics and i am still waiting to loot a essence to make my backpack

Same boat as you, with almost 3 stacks in tokens, meanwhile my friend has 8 in the bank and we have done 95% of the runs together, kind of wish they just made it a token amount .

You don’t need more than one vial as far as we know, unless you REALLY want to craft more than one kind of back piece which would be a huge waste of money in the first place

Same problem here, I even seen 1 guy loot 3 essence in 1 run! I didn’t get any so far myself.

Same for me, I’ve done over 60 runs now. I even have the mats ready for the stupid quiver, but still no vial.. (and it would be nice to have 6 vials, so i could get the infused one right away…. ) . Also no ascended ring drop either and I’m rank12 now …

That is not an argument. The problem is that the vial is a random drop. So aquiring a random drop item regardless of the drop chance is geometric distributed, which is a distribution without memory.

That results in the effect that you run a dungeon and don’t get the loot drop, you run the dungeon again and don’t get the loot drop. So now you could ask have my odds improved to get this item because I did a dungeon run more? The answer is no! Because the disribution doesn’t remember that you have run any dungeons at all.

This means everytime you don’t get a vial, you didn’t made any improvent towards your goal. That is simple statistics.

So you only need one is not an argument, because it can take 100000000 dungeon runs to aquire 1 vial. It can of course take 1 dungeon run to get 1 vial but that is statistics for you and the simple reason why random loot drops are a horrible idea.

This is a pretty big problem, bc i’m a pretty unlucky person myself. My loot with full exotic mf gear on is about the same as a normal person ( i have some friends who are just lucky and pick up stuff like no tomorrow ). I mostly get trophies like porous bones rofl. My loot from the karka event for example had no precursors where other people were getting them left and right ( i exaggerate) .

Same experience here, friends running with me all picking up vials and none for me. I think this is an issue, the vial either needs to be tradeable or purchasable thru a vendor. There should be a sure way of acquiring this. I have a feeling when i hit level 11 in the dungeon, and we’re supposed to get ring loot, I won’t even get that.

Therefore I won’t have any source of agony mitigation when it comes into play…. Anet, i really hope this won’t be the case, bc some players won’t be able to have agony resistance otherwise.

Please make vials tradeable or vendor-based, it would be expensive but at least we can acquire it. Even if it was with some gems, i would buy one lol

I was about to make a thread about this myself.

Making Vials of Condensed Mists Essence account bound and ONLY obtainable as a random drop is not a good idea. As people in this thread have pointed out – you can do dozens of fractals and still not even end up with one. They could at least put in an alternative to buy them from the vendor for X number of Fractal Relics.

Oh and if you want to upgrade your back item to an Infused version – you need 5 more Vials of Condensed Mists Essence. Good luck with that!

Or you drop directly the T2 vial from the 11-20 difficulty fractals.

Sadly, it’s luck based. I’ve gotten two already and am only scale 5. I feel for you bro. Keep trying.
