Balls of Dark Energy are only used in the first fractal backpack recipe and you will only need 2 of these in total and the rest will be useless….why is this still a thing.
I was sure Anet would add a sink in the new patch with the BLING merchant but they thought that trading in an endless fractal tonic for relics was more needed. I have so many of these and I have zero use for them and it just feels bad that I still can’t do anything with them. One way to fix this would be to make them a currency to get stat infusions like with the 16+ agony infusions. After all they mostly come from salvaged ascended armor and weapons.

They’re also used for legendary armor and the generation 2 legendaries, but I agree, it would be nice to have more uses for them.

I needed one for Astralaria, but I wouldn’t call that a sink.

Needed two for Astralaria and Nevermore. But then again I don’t have any left, and I only salvaged one ascended weapon and one armor part for it. I keep the rest of those boxes.
