I have been playing through the lvl 80 pve content like arah em and cof em and it seems that killing a boss is no real rewarding thing or something special because if u want to have a chance of gaining any good loot its the final boss that u have to kill and thats just to get a x amount of shards or tokens. It feels like there should be rewarding item drops from the bosses as well as token drops for completing the instances. This can be extremely effective as long as u scale the cost for items that u would buy with shards and make only certain items obtainable from bosses and the other two or so u have to buy with the shards. Also I think u faltered with the no 10 man instances because if u make the 5 man duengoens the last piece of the game then what does having the best gear in the game mean if theres no serius challenge to get it. They should be to help train you and get u well enough geared so u can put together a group of friends or pugs and attempt to take on the hardest bosses and battles the world has to throw at you. The final content shouldnt be something where you can find any group in lions arch and one shot. It should take practice and real coordination please take this to heart arena net before more people give up on this game.

End game PvE in is fairly shallow atm. No incentive to continue running them after you got all the tokens. Chances for some instance specific skins on end bosses perhaps?

I couldn’t agree more, OP. GW2 needs raids, real tough ones AND chance-to-drop loot which would be a lot better than the sets you can buy with tokens.

Stop thinking GW2 shares the same design of others MMOs. After u get your loot you would think everything shallow anyway.

The tokens will drop from bosses too in near future.

PS.: GW2 dont need raids.

Just because ANet tried to take the gameplay in a different direction for GW2, that means they can’t borrow from other games? If something works, you’d be a fool to dismiss it without first looking at why it works, and then trying to adapt it to work better.

I really can’t see any reasoning for your post, other than “I don’t want my game to be like that game.”

The only dungeon that could be in need of a little extra is Arah, since it takes like twice as long to finish. Maybe some extra silver, a random rare or 1 Ecto upon completion (once a day only).
