So I hear some people are getting banned for selling. Devs can you please release new info regarding this issue because the last info we got was that it is ok to sell when no exploits are used.

This is important because you cant just go and ban all sellers because you changed your minds and not informing anyone

IDK why are people banned for selling, if people are certainly not forced to buy… I never did and after all it does not make any sense. AC is the best way how to make fast and easy money so to pay for it is really odd…

They’re banning sellers who exploit (like the underwater lupi skip), not legitimate sellers. The problem is that they’re on a power trip and banning the wrong people in the process.

The funny part is that they think they are the only ones who know about arah puzzles. We all know that stuff and choose to not use dem at our advantage.

I’d like selling dungeons to be ban-able. Just did the fatal mistake (which I once promised that I wouldn’t make) and PUG:ed AC twice. On the end of the first run, two french guildies kicked the rest in the very end of the dungeon. Same thing happened on the run after – but that time it was two different people doing the sinful deeds.

atse has a point here, as an awful lot are selling paths using exploits.
This is not only valid for Arah, but has started heavily with AC too.
Besides hurting the economy, AC is usually the first dungeon to check out and therefore leaves a nice impression on new potential dungeoneers…

In all honesty, I fully support that they are finally taking action against exploiters.
Unfortunately, there might be some misfire, but I am sure that this can be resolved.

I doubt that whining on the forums is a helpful measure though…

Second, I gladly explain it to you: If someone is increasing the gold in circulation by means of EXPLOITING paths to gain fast gold, it is hurting the economy as this is gold not intended to be added in this way.

You do not know how much the gold supply by means of EXPLOITED path selling increases the overall economy, so your statement could be completely inaccurate – politely put.

Saying money gathered by EXPLOITING is not hurting the economy because it is a small amount is a rather strange argument. Bad money hurts in real life too, no matter how small the overall amount might be. As you have quite some thought-out posts in this forum, I doubt that you fail to understand this.

You might have an arguement for ac. But arah sellers tend to not repeat the paths that often in a single day. There is a minor time difference in dungeon completion when using certain exploits. In fact the underwater skip in arah path 2 and the lupi skip take longer than actually doing it legit. :/

I think people’s main concerns are coral skipping p4. Which I heard was still doable in a slightly more bothersome way. I haven’t been keeping up with anything, so I don’t know.

Yeah its quite a bit longer to do. And well in the case of path 4. I dont think anyone sells that more than once or twice per day because even when skipping it takes quite a long time to do solo/duo. And finding buyers can take more time than actually running it.

You seem to think I am pro-AC exploiting. I am not. I wish Anet would make fixing it a top priority.

But I took issue with your statement, because it is a factually incorrect statement. Being incredibly generous, AC selling adds something like 150g to the game economy in a single day. That is astoundingly insignificant. That is less gold then the frostgorge champ farm on a single server produces in 10 minutes. So even being an EXPLOIT, and even being EVIL and WRONG, it is so insignificant that it doesn’t hurt the economy in any measurable way. To put it in perspective, the Skyhammer pvp glory farm introduced tens of thousands of gold into the economy once the new vendor was created, and in comparison to that ACTUAL damage done, AC exploiting pales in comparison.

You really suck at math… I’m posting for the sole purpose of pointing out the obvious fact that Arah p4 does NOT sell instantly. You also have to spend time finding placeholders/fillers when you sell it because if you don’t people just join and kick you from your own instance.

I hate that there are so many people exploiting and selling as well but I hate when people provide false information to skew reality in their favor even more.

they should start looking at AC, the profit ain’t much compared to arah sellers but the amount of serious exploit sellers that are Thief, Ele and Mesmer are all over the list.

Are you really finding spot holders when you’re selling ? What a waste of time …. Just sell your instance normally and put “proxy” in the lfg . The kickers\trolls will never join proxy parties . Anyway if you’re telling me that exploiting arah dosent affect the playerbase , then why anet are banning people ? Yea right …
