was kicked from raid cause i was only one standing near glenna when commander said everyone stack on boss and everyone was out of range and glenna was getting debuff.

People insulting you and being rude towards you, is reportable. People being bad at what they’re doing or not knowing the mechanics, is not reportable.
In addition, and I’m sorry to break this to you, but If you did whatever you wanted in a raid, instead of doing what your commander told you to do, regardless of mechanics, you did more wrong than any of them.

It was in fractals…. unless you were breaking a rule or being abusive in chat, you could be reported for kicking people out of a fractal at the end just so your friends could come in for the chest… used to happen a lot actually.

does this apply to raids too?

there has been no official word on, so we can only speculate. but I would assume since it is an instance based event, that it would be grandfathered in under the same rule. But this is purely speculation on my part.

If it means that much to you, you can try. But frankly, if I were you, I’d just get over it. I mean really, you’ve waisted another 20 minute at least being upset about it and writing on the forums. 20 minutes is simply not worth all that work, effort and bad feeling, now is it?
Grab another 20 minutes, and do the boss again with other people. Enjoy it, have fun, and forget the jerks who kicked you. just block those you didn’t enjoy playing with and move on.

Sadly, if you raid, you’re eventually going to encounter this kind of behavior.

That kind of behavior should be punished. Elitism should be reportable, it’s the cancer of MMOs. I wish we could actually do something against it but game devs usually don’t care. It’s sad.

Once I was doing DS meta, commander put me in 2nd group for boss at tower, I said “I’m better at running because I wear Knight gear”. They called me noob and kicked me out of the squad just because I play the way I want. (But that’s why I love metas, they can’t kick me out of the map so I went to an other lane. XD)

Definitely reportable imo. You were doing what was necessary for the mechanics, but got kicked due to commander ignorance..
What result it will have is another matter entirely.

On a side note, I find escort by far the hardest encounter to pug – because the quality of pugs is absolute trash..

A disagreement over mechanics resulting in a raid kick is not a reportable incident – unless abuse was involved it does not break any ToS. Yes, it’s annoying or frustrating, but all that will be gained is a ticket bogging down Support’s time, which is highly unlikely to lead anywhere and you wont ever find out the result anyway.

Better to take the high ground and just move on and forget about the other player.

Glenna cannot die because of debuff at this stage of the encounter. Only boss (if someone like you stacking on top of her) and warg able to kill her. You got kicked because of lack of knowledge. Kicking people without warning in general its not nice but joining hard content without having idea what to do.. Its bad behavior as well.

This is literally baby’s first wing, anyone can type the explanation for this part while facetanking the kittening boss, and most stuff is done over voice anyway.

But alas, you also sounded very unwilling to have a dialogue there, considering how they cold kicked you. If you were all there communicating with each other properly you’d have discussed out that you should stay close to Glenna at all times so she doesn’t die, and the commander would have correctly informed you that the Warg could be focused at that time without worrying about the debuff. This case looks like most other cases, where neither side communicated clearly before the beginning of the content.

That said, it is wrong that they kicked you even if you didn’t communicate much since the raid started; intolerance and impatience shouldn’t be met with even more of it. But it will keep happening, because the answers you got from this thread are just a hint of the general raid population, so just try and lay out the plan very clearly to people even if they are a supposedly “exp” group (e.g “hey guys so just to get it straight we’re keeping someone close to Glenna at all times right?”). The point you are missing, and most are and it was pointed by Incognito.3529 is that the boss could kill Glenna, the raid leader asked him to go with everyone ( it was not a kick without saying anything), he refused and by doing what he was doing he could made Glenna die and the raid wipe. So before the raid wiped and as pointed OP was not listening and willing to follow, the raid leader made the right choice of kicking him.

Exactly, before the OP was wasting the time of ten players the comander did the right choice so only one person had to waste his time.
Good move from the leader, he did it for the group, not to be elitist or toxic against the single player.

At this point, it really doesn’t matter what any of us think. If they OP think their experience was an example of the raiders breaking the Terms of Service, they should:

• Create a support ticket
• Give a two sentence summary of their concern
• Add as much documentation as they can, including screenshots, date/time, names, and a brief narrative that gives context to the issue.
• They should present their case as calmly and logically as possible, and leave any ranting for the forums or /guild.

The rest of us can speculate about what ANet should do or will do, but we can’t really say if they’ll think the situation calls for them to act.

I feel for the OP — no one should have to be in a situation in which they get to the end of an instance and get kicked before getting to share in the rewards. Perhaps there was good reason for the /kick, perhaps not. It still feels bad.

tl;dr file a report and move on — ANet will choose to act …or they won’t. There’s little to be done about it now

He started raising his voice and keep yelling on TS. At that point, it was really stressful for everyone in the raid, so the commander decided to kick him from the raid.

At the end of the day (especially pugs) a commander (or whoever is nominated as the leader) is the one responsible for making the right call. Otherwise, it would be chaotic trying to keep up with the direction and opinions of 10 individual players.

If I were in OP’s shoes I probably would have second guessed him myself if I was adamant about my experience with the encounter. But, then again, I’m not leading the group so I’d begrudgingly go along with his direction. If he was right? Sweet, we killed the boss, and I learned something new! If he was wrong? Other than a quiet “I told you so” it becomes a learning experience for everyone.

Does that mean that the commander is right 100% of the time. No, not at all. We’re all human. Does that mean we have to listen to the commander at 100% of the time. Absolutely. Again, that guy is responsible for committing the group to a final decision in a moment’s notice so that the group can quickly adapt to whatever is going on.

For some reason I’m not surprised that op was the toxic person in this situation and deserved a kick + blacklist from any future raid parties.

But of course, the people telling OP that his kick was deserved are the toxic ones, amirite :^)

From what Ive seen, toxicity tends to happen before people get on TS/Discord whatever, once we can all talk to each other, it’s usually a lot more civil.
I’ve joined two different raid teams with very different experience (one is more experienced than the other) and both of them accept pugs, and both of them do training runs and both of them don’t require a perfect meta armor/weapon/trinkets.

Just get in a nice guild, maybe you’ll spend a bit more time on raids each time, but at least the experience with people will be pleasant.
(that and drinking raid parties :x)

During boss fight if you leave Glenna alone at the stairs and everyone stack at the door she wont die.
So yeah like other ppl said, when you join a group you listen to the commander and don’t try to be smart.
I have seen many fails coz ppl think they are smart and keep trying to do things their way.
When you join a pug you follow the commander strategy, if you want to do things your way you can make your own team

Kicking at the end of the fight is indeed a bit of a kitten move, however assuming that the additional info about YOUR behaviour is correct then I can at least see why it happened. Unless you organise the raid yourself, you simply do not yolo away on your own as that may screw everyone else over

Nonono, OP is a poor misunderstood chap who was only trying to help, while the big bad toxic community jumped on him and kicked him! True story! It’s not like he came to the forums to spread lies about a raid group and try to make the raid community appear as evil when in fact he was 100% to blame?! Who would do such a ghastly thing?! The raiding community is soo toxic and wrong, amirite?

This right here is the issue folks, there are so many people like this it’s unbelievable. This is why people have trust issues in dungeons, fractals and raids (mostly raids), they have to deal with this kind of people.

we did Glenna on Monday leaving her alllllllll alone and just focus on the boss. she was fine. only pretend to be scared.
if everyone told you to go to stack up, u should go. its called team work! :P

You can play the way you want, but that doesn’t mean everyone else is forced to play with you.

In group content the group is making the rules and if the group decides to use most efficient gear you either use it or you don’t fit in that group. If you want to make your own rules start your own own group.

Doesn’t matter in this case. Raid lead asked you multiple times to stack with the group, if Glenna was going to get nuked due to fear stacks which only summon adds that will not necessarily insta-kill her, let the Raid Lead take the blame.

The group knew more than you in this instance, please let this be a lesson.

buff takes less then 30 secs to get adds and adds kill glenna in less then 20 seconds
fight takes at least 2 mins you do maths

btw i talked politely 7 times saying if i didn’t stand near glenna she would die the commander refused to listen instead. said twice stack boss or kick. now commander dosnt want to listen to input from group is a bad commander. i admit i raged but only after commander told me to get off glenna and she already had at earlier stage during boss fight been on 11 stacks from us not being close enough.

You started being aggressive in TS after being repeatedly told to stick with the group. Now I don’t know if you or commander was right about tactics (not a raider), but wouldn’t it be a better idea to just stay with group? Even if you wipe you’d have a better chance to explain how it should be and kill the boss in second time.

well dear.. I only leave Glenna alone this week either . I played druid since day one w3 came out my job was.. keep Glenna friend.. make her not scared.. look after her.. protect her.. love her. but last Monday.. I was told.. leave her alone. and I did. so. everyone was happy
I just shared my experience with you .. I pugged my raids

you say that and id like to point out somthing somone was probly near her. while you were stacking causing her not to get stack

Dude I was in the raid with Talindra and everyone in the squad, 10 ppl stacked on the door and Glenna was left alone at the stairs the entire fight.
She got stacks but nothing came to kill her so that means during the boss fight Glenna stacks dont matter.|
What can kill Glenna during boss is the wargs and if boss teles to a player that is near Glenna.
So if everyone stacks at the door the boss will always be at the door and the wargs die instantly.

hehe.. Glenna was left at near bottom of the stairs ALL alone. 10 of us rush up to the gate and face bosses there, Glenna was all FINE the entire match. GG everyone was happy at the end.
might not be intented, anet might fix Glenna who knows, but you got kicked out at the end, the team finish the boss without you, well with you or without you, to them, is the same.. unless you stack with them you actually do some benefit to the team. that’s what they think. to me, I think you should have listen to the commander. he recruited you.

now i was kicked from ts why kick me from raid why not just kick me from ts well completing raid and if glenna die kick then. answer commander dosnt want someone not following commands because he thinks he knows all. i was standing in such a way boss wouldn’t hit her. as i had done multiple times when escorting her as a druid.
