Doesn’t matter whether the Commander thinks he knows it all, does know it all, or doesn’t know jack about the encounter. Ultimately, it was his group and he made a call/instruction for everyone to follow. He was leading the group to the best of his ability and decided on kicking you when you proved to be a liability to the success of the encounter.

Now, had you followed along and then wiped because of the Commander’s call? Well, that’s when you say “I told you so”. A good Commander would have taken the advice constructively and prevent the wipe from happening again like that. But again, it was the Commander’s group and he’s got the shiny Dorito to be the one to make the final call.

Personally, I’ve done the escort multiple times, and we’ve never had Glenna near us at the final fight nor anyone with her to keep her company (we designate someone to be her buddy during the actual escort). Honestly, I thought she disappeared during the final fight. So, I would have to agree with the other folks on this thread stating that Glenna can be left alone without penalty in the last fight.

They kicked you from ts AND the raid because you were toxic and damaging to their game experience. Simple as that.

If you’re that much better… why don’t you make you own raid team?
I mean, clearly Im pretty sure that every commander here wouldnt want someone who simply doesnt follow orders just because they think they know better (your own argument can be used against you).
If your ego becomes a waste of time and a source of tension, people won’t want you. And there’s really no point showing off for escort… it’s literally the level of a dungeon with less boring mechanisms.

Here’s a clue – the kick function is there for a reason. If the commander wanted something and the whole group did it and wanted it except him they are well within their rights to kick him.

As rude as this may be, I don’t believe it to be reportable. But I will say it’s another reason many don’t do raids.

Elitism.

Sadly, if you raid, you’re eventually going to encounter this kind of behavior.

That kind of behavior should be punished. Elitism should be reportable, it’s the cancer of MMOs. I wish we could actually do something against it but game devs usually don’t care. It’s sad.

Once I was doing DS meta, commander put me in 2nd group for boss at tower, I said “I’m better at running because I wear Knight gear”. They called me noob and kicked me out of the squad just because I play the way I want. (But that’s why I love metas, they can’t kick me out of the map so I went to an other lane. XD)

You can’t punish people for wanting to play a certain way. If you want to play a certain way go for it but do not expect others to want to play with you. Just like you have the right to run knights others have the right to rid themselves of playing with you.

Because you ruin their fun. And this game is about fun.

• Include experienced players that don’t position themselves according to your plan.

It wasn’t. Raid groups are not democracies – they are run by one person. That person decides they don’t want you -you get the boot. Simple as that. There’s nothing rude/personal about it.

I wanna share my experiences as a commander to you. Before I tag up to do something (world boss, map meta, wvw, raid bosses, ect) I had played that content a lot and done it many times. It does not mean that a commander know it all, there are multiple ways to complete an encounter. However, I always want to choose the fastest and easiest ways to do it with the pugs.

When someone decides to do their own thing in the raid and refuse to follow instructions, depends on situations, I usually do not kick them from the raid if i think it does not wipe the raid. If the person becomes raging, negative, toxic to the group on voice chat, I would kick them from raid and voice chat because they spoil our fun as a group. It is a game, if someone is not having fun or feeling angry when they play the game, they need to keep it to themselves imo. The rest of the group does not have to suffer from that person at all.

This might simply be a misunderstand. I have been in the situation where I stand at max range to Glenna (which is 900 and looks quite far away) to be able to fight the boss and buff/heal others on druid just to see someone panic and run back to her. They usually think they need to stand right on top of her also.
Of course, quite an overreaction to kick someone who had the party’s best interests in mind. Not defending that. It is however in their right to set rules everyone wanting to play with them has to follow to be included.

lead raid with 6 inexperienced players of escort. still killed the boss. now i was standing exactly how i was when commander kicked me. all of those players didnt have mastery from raids. also the 4 players that did 3 were on tower i was in lane.

also tuthan i only raged after you said stand on boss or kick 3 times. the only after witch i raged and you kicked me .

you ignord me saying glenna was safe and you just said stand on boss or kick. i get annoyed at people who say things like that.

I highly doubt they’ll get rolled back for simply not keeping someone on her.

You didn’t follow the commander’s direction and his/her direction is the one you follow. You can suggest different methods, but you can’t dictate and do what you want anyway and expect to not get kicked. Even if you’re at the end.

Combine the lack of following the commander’s direction with raging at the group in TS, it’s really not surprising that you got kicked.

You shouldn’t lie because what you are writing here is definitely not true. 100% not true at all! I don’t know why you are writing such stuff…
Seriously, if you want to discuss properly, fine, do so but with such a statement it’s hard for us to believe the part of your raid story or be at least a little bit on your side.

At a certain point, it doesn’t really matter which tactics are best, most efficient, good enough, risky, or whatever. The team has to work together. One person using the “most efficient” tactic while 9 are using the “good enough” is going to be a problem. The OP has yet to acknowledge this, so I’m not surprised that they are still surprised they were /kicked.

You know that Glenna doesn’t die if you leave her alone during the last battle right? You really think a commanding calling to stack on the boss did it while knowing she would die if you leave her???
