6/23 Update
I don’t know if there’s a specific time but it should be in about 5 hours or so
Is there a current expected list of changes? I see people mentioning changes to traits and all that… I’ve been away awhile.

All we know for sure is that the game won’t be down for the update, it never is. There will be an in-game system message telling you that a new build is available and you should restart the game, and that is kinda it.
Is there a current expected list of changes? I see people mentioning changes to traits and all that… I’ve been away awhile.
- Specialisations
- New Trait and Skill Unlock System (changed so that everything can be unlocked by level 80)
- New Lion’s Arch
- Ascended Stat Change capability
- Skill Points are getting converted to
DjinngotsSpirit Shards. - Level rewards have changed (For example, weapon swap will be unlocked 5 levels earlier and all weapon skills and underwater weapons unlock at level 8 according to released notes).
- Condicap increase to 1500 and changes to how some conditions work in terms of stacking (Burning stacks intensity, for example).
- Wallet changes to UI, with Geodes and Bandit Crests being added.

Personal Story Restoration
HoM reactivated (wishful thinking)
Oh these are nice additions if they make it to the official notes:
- Added an option to lock the ground target marker at maximum skill range, preventing the marker from being placed out of range.
- Fixed a bug that prevented characters attempting to target Nearest Enemy from selecting a target behind them.
- Item tooltips for soulbound items will now display the name of the character it is bound to if it isn’t the current character.

Something I thought was funny is that when I clicked this link an ad for HoT came on, and I thought that was just perfect.

Game never go on downtime when patch his (it’s their model).
Expect an ingame announcement that you will need to restart your client so you download new content and you are ready.
Oh yeah, VOLKON, apparently they’re finally removing the hobosacks from Engineers. I think that is in this update as well.

Once the new version of the server software is installed and the client is out at the various CDN sites they simply flip a switch and everyone logged in gets a notice that the old version will stay up for another hour so please log off and update your client.
This method should allow players to finish up with whatever they are doing.
