(Title is meant to be Species Non-Specific)

When this last patch released, the compensations for dedication to the game, I must say, I was thrilled and still am.

When I got my first one at 100 I was quite pleased.
Then came the 500 chest, wow even better.
Bring on the Large Achievement Chest at 1000, wow cool times Two.
1500 chest the fun just keeps on coming.
… 2500 Heavy Achievement Chest my spirits are near beyond containment.
…In two days the 5000 point Massive Achievement Chest; for all that the 6 gods deem holy, my cup overflows.

Nowhere’s the rub:

I am at 6600 points currently and the Humongous Extra Heavy Achievement Chest of Superior Awesomeness, doesn’t hit till 7500 points (presumably). So for a 13 day straight wild ride of barely legal stimulation, I am cut off cold turkey. Imagine the withdraw; this isn’t going to be pretty. Shakes, cold sweats and delusions of Glowing Achievement Chests of Magnificence peaking around every corner.
I just don’t know if the 7000 point Methadone Chest looming on the horizon, is gonna do it for me.

AA (Achievement Anonymous) here I come!

10,000 point, Excessively Heavy Overly Amazing Achievement Chest of Stupendous Opulence, OH THE HUMANITY!

So after your ride on the mult-day Achievement Chest Train, are you going to miss it or is it just no big deal?

I’m really disappointed that we can’t have a full armor set…
I really wanted a full radiant set, but just gloves shoulders and helm is so bad…

If anything it’s the helm that’s bad.
9000 achievement points for that monstrosity? Come on, it barely has any detail, or, well, volume…

I’ve seen salad bowls with more appeal.

I enjoyed your sense of drama OP, well done indeed.

They were a nice bonus, but I won’t miss them.

Agreed.
It just looks like the designers got lazy.

The problem with the radiant set is that it doesn’t really go with anything else in game. At least I haven’t seen anyone with a set that included radiant parts and looked… good.

As for the hellfire set, I just can’t get excited over more flaming armour parts in addition to the ones already in game. I do feel someone at ANet’s has a bit of a fire fetish.

Admittedly the best effort that I’ve seen so far.

I still think the glowy things stand out way too much (which, in my opinion, still looks… stupid).
And then the whole thing about the majority of classes wearing medium or light armour, and the things can’t be died, etc. etc.

It has a lot of flaws, and it’s extremely outspoken yea.
But it works in this colour scheme and is kind of appropriate for blind spam

I think the radiant stuff works fine with tier 3 asura “tron” gear. That set glows white as well if it’s dyed right.

I added up the achievements, you’ll need dailies and/or monthlies to get the 10k chest.

All the points total to 8151 before you add in dailies or monthlies. http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Achievement

I think the max points available(last I knew it got capped) from entropy is 200 so 8351 should be the max available without dailies(may be off but pretty close at least.)

Enjoy.

I like how mine looks for the time being, but of course, that’s subjective…

NOTE: mesmer is cheating, sleeves cover most of it so you only see the gloves..

It’s a pile of Elonian protection magic, mixed with a little monk training,
wrapped up in some crazy ritualist hoo-ha from Cantha.
A real grab bag of ‘you can’t hurt me. They’re called Guardians.
