And poof! There go my Karma boosts
Well, the whole point there, is why would you convert something you wanted at a 50% loss?
To free up Bank space and because we were told when we purchased the Enchantment Boosts that we would be able to select Karma. I didn’t luckily convert any Karma boosts because I have plenty of Bank space but I understand how that could be an issue for others.
i can understand converting the rest of your boosters for that reason, but if karma is what you want, isn’t that worth taking up 1 more inventory slot?

That is up to the person making the choice I didn’t convert Karma but I can honestly say I feel cheated by this move on Anet’s part and annoyed that they failed to even mention it in the patch notes or response to players. I also think that taking Karma Boosters without any notice that they can not be selected is misleading.
I absolutely agree on those points, though i still feel little sympathy for the people who threw away 50% of their boosts for a single extra inventory space.
putting it in patch notes and/or ADDRESSING IT IN THIS THREAD would make a world’s worth of difference.
You cried your glory boosters were deleted
LOL this guy….
For someone who doesn’t care you sure gave us all a wall of text!
The Warrior turns to the guardian and says, “Did you hear something?”
Guardian replies, “No, but how’d the elementalist die?”
Still no word about karma boosters being removed from the game! lol. Please please would still love a response from ArenaNet on this. I don’t feel like removing the boosters because of the new karma traders Pact Commanders have warrants its removal.
They are just recipes and would still like to have a confirmed reason for the ill-advised removal.
Remove the ability to choose karma boosters
Add karma food.
Right hand, meet left hand. You two need to talk.
ANet may give it to you.

If memory serves, Anet did kind of sort of possibly elude to including karma boosters back in the game when they removed the option from enchanted boosters. As per usual, we’re left speculating on whether or not the Wintersday goodies are the items they meant.

In the patch notes they said
Patch notes
The Boosts category of the Gem Store has been reworked. All previous boosters are no longer available. Previously purchased boosters will still work.
A new Experience Booster is now available that grants 50% additional experience from all sources and game types, including WvW and PvP reward tracks, and gives a killstreak bonus on enemy NPCs.
A new Item Booster is now available that grants crafting, gathering, and magic find benefits from a single source and summons a merchant if the player’s inventory is full after gathering resources.
A new Heroic Booster is now available that grants both Item Booster and Experience Booster effects.
Single Experience Booster and Item Booster prices have been reduced by 33% permanently.
Karma Boosters are now available exclusively from in-game rewards.
For a limited time, you can claim a free Heroic Booster by visiting the Gem Store.
Since the patch notes were talking only about various boosters, there isn’t a real reason to think the karma boosters that are now available exclusively from in game rewards refer to food made available 4 months later.
ANet may give it to you.

Ahh. I thought we were under the assumption Anet would add the karma boosters to new elements of the game (map rewards, HoT content, and such) instead of keeping them locked behind personal story missions.

Given Anet’s usual vague and incomplete language, assumptions are always high on just about every aspect of the game.

Indeed. However I’m not even sure you do get them from personal story missions anymore. After the removal I’ve read several posts where people said they didn’t get the karma boosts at points the game had them as a reward. Curently wiki says the only time you get them is for hitting level 38 and achievement chests. I don’t remember if my Revenant got that one, but I’m pretty sure that there used to be more times karma boosters were a reward, but are now gone.

I don’t think they are seeing as various ice creams give 5% karma and have done for a while.
dragons, I sometimes wonder if we’ll ever find a way to save us from ourselves.”
