but its still an outfit. Theres no fun combining single armor pieces again. But as long as the majority of the playerbase is happy and buy it nothing will change.

Thats very sad. So no Zalando-cry from me.

I’m voting with my wallet. If people do the same maybe we will see the change in their plans. Just maybe.

Dude . . . i hate this outfit stuff that Anet is doing lately.

Where is the fun of combining, creating you really unique aspect.

At beginning this outfits were made for city non combat looks.

BUT NOW . . .

What the kitten happen? . . . why? . . . . why are you taking the fun part of skins?

….yeah i guess the only point of making “outfits” is to prevent clipping/gap issues.

Seems like a lot of wasted potential on thins that could have been really cool but had corners cut.

Which so far hasn’t worked out all that well.

For example, female norn only have one hairstyle (bald), that DOESN’T clip with the Noble Count outfit.

IT’S A SWORD. THEY’RE NOT MEANT TO BE SAFE.

I like single piece outfits. I liked the other way, too but I prefer this because I don’t need to constantly transmute and fill my inventory with alternatives anymore unless I get bored. I would prefer they keep doing outfits, and then make individual armor skins earned in-game like the silverwastes sets.

i’m not too upset about it, but yeah, another armor set i’m basically completely ignoring since it’s an outfit.

kinda a shame, the boots look pretty.

Druid main, 80 on all, Legendary ranked, Eternal and all that jazz (I go by Feyris in game)

Prevent clipping issues? Have a look at chars with long hairstyles wearing the new outfit. The collar is cutting through it. This really dont look nice.

It’s not about clipping issues.

It’s about easy money.

Hell, I don’t even know why people are playing the clipping card anymore. The Ancestral outfit clips with itself.

People complain about clipping, and when you mix and match individual pieces, it happens a lot. If people would stop crying over some minor clipping issues, then maybe Anet wouldn’t have to worry about it so much. Clipping will always happen, until there are better rigging options available in MMOs. It’s all about the rigging.

Everybody, welcome to the moot for the “no clipping issues” card.

You all can put it away now. Go on.

Not only. Yes, there’s this aspect, but there’s also other advantages to outfits:

- They are not tied to an armor type. That allows guilds groups to look fancy together in their classy outfits.

- They don’t cost any transmutation charges. That could be nice if, like me, you like to change your characters’ appearance all the time. I play mostly pvp, and STILL I lack transmutation charges.

That being said, I prefer armors, but I’d rather have them added in-game.

That is the trade off with outfits. You get a set you can use endlessly without the use of transmutation charges but you lose out on customization. If you want customization then armor sets are the way to go with the trade off that you need transmutation charges to continue use of the skin past first use. Too bad Anet has given up on gem store armor sets. Transmutation charges are very easy to obtain at no cost.

That’s ok, they’ll start charging for dye changes, and suddenly they won’t seem so easy to obtain anymore.

Source? Oh wait, you are just being your usual negative self. I think you selected the wrong display name that starts with an “N”, “Negative” would have been much more appropriate. Here is a fact, since the introduction of the wardrobe system dyes never cost anything and as a bonus have been made account wide.

Source?

Go to the dye panel. Do you see the window for calculating the transmutation charge cost when changing dyes?

They wouldn’t have wasted the time creating the programming code to put that in place if it wasn’t intended to be implemented.

That isn’t proof of anything. You are just speculating and once again being your usual negative self.

Here is what you posted over a year ago. It seems your predictions are a bit off since it has not happened.

Just don’t get used to it. I find it highly suspicious that the transmutation transaction is conveniently programmed into the dye coloring system. I’m betting it won’t be completely free for long.

Good day Negative, I mean Neural. I’m not going to entertain you anymore or continue to derail this thread.
