Armour Sets - Wardrobe

I would like to see armour sets taken out of inventory and placed in an armour-specific wardrobe that can be toggled through out of combat. Every one of my characters has at least two armour sets.

I have four armour sets on my main:

  1. Zerker PvE set
  2. Zerker WvW set (different runes than #1)
  3. Roaming WvW set
  4. Commanding/Zerging WvW set

I would like to have the option to go into the wardrobe, select an armour set, and have it automatically equipped. I don’t want it to count towards my total inventory, and I don’t want it to take up space in my bank.

I would not mind having two armour set “tabs” offered automatically, and additional ones available for purchase with gems (at a reasonable price… say, 100 gems, or half the cost of an additional bag slot) up to a maximum of five sets.

You would still be able to have armour pieces in your normal inventory. This would merely facilitate the organization of multiple armour sets.

Thoughts?

They’ve said they like the idea of build templates (which this would be the gear part of) but it’s not part of what they’re working on for HoT. So maybe in a feature patch further down the road?

Well they may add it if we pay for the additional tabs/menu.

I love the idea OP and I would take it a step further and suggest that each “tab” will also have their own trait and utility setup linked to it.

So for example if you switch to the Zerker PvE tab, you’ll automatically equip the traits and utility skills that you previously selected for that set.
