Hey people. We all know a lot of people don’t plan to create any ascended at all:

• Either they don’t have the money
• Or they have alts and don’t care for ascended
• Or they play WvW and hate to do PvE
  You get my point.

I think those people deserve to be able to exchange the ascended materials they got (and don’t plan to use), for something that is useful for them. Say: gold, laurels, karma. Give each ascended material a value for each of these:
E.g.: per bloodstone dust: 2.5 silver, 250 karma…

They’re just sitting in my bank. Can’t sell to players nor to npcs. Just let those who don’t want ascended have an alternative to just destroying the materials?

Good idea. But I want to make a few comments.

1. You shouldn’t be able to exchange say, dusts for d ore. Different content needs unique rewards to make the looting process ‘fun’, and interchanging materials leads to a lot of content being dead because its faster to gather the material through elsewhere and interchanging.

2. Laurels and karma should not be able to be obtained elsewhere. Like the above point, karma needs to be unique to DEs and laurels to dailies as an incentive for people to do them.

More of these post? If you don’t want to make an ascended weapon that is on you. It does not mean that you deserve anything special for that choice.
