How does Anet manage to create the worst meta in the history of the game?
Boonshare abuse, Overloading classes with passive defenses, Near perma block and invuln on multiple classes, People simply out-regenerating the highest DPS builds possible. Zero incentive to take risks or improve as a player.
All this for an agonizing amount of time, and then when talk of a balance patch comes, people are ready to be delivered from this hell and enjoy the game again, when boom the balance team kept every single aspect that was killing the game and buffed those classes instead with lower CD’s and higher damage.
Thats about it man. The company philosophy of “they wont leave Gw2 because there’s nothing else for them to play” no longer applies when people start deciding that playing nothing is better than this.
Are Guardians/DHs really as OP as they seem tight now? Not trolling, it is a genuine doubt, I don’t know Guardian at all.

well seriously I dont get it too how they could mess up the relative okish balancing pre Hot (besides thieves burstdmg maybe) so much
In comparison to CS when HoT shipped with the elite specs its like every one was upgrade from the low dmg sniper to the overpowerd awp
its not fun anymore to play pvp or wvw in PvE it does not matter that much cause everyone was abusing stacking bosses and spam to death anyway but competetive play is just a ridiculus mess now

Similarly, there will be changes in boon duration and boon application for a few professions. For the Revenant, we’ll be looking at reducing Naturalistic Resonance’s base boon duration. For Mesmer, we’re looking at making Signet of Inspiration’s boon sharing functionality a bit more controlled, giving each shared boon a fixed duration. To help compensate for these general reductions, we’ll be increasing both damage and a few different baseline boon durations.

Gaile, can we get some clarification of this please? The way the paragraph reads, both Revenant and Mesmer were supposed to get a damage increase due to the nerfings listed. I didn’t see anywhere in the notes about Revenants getting the increased damage compensation stated here.
A whole kittening second on regen from Facet of Light is the “compensation”? Even though the upkeep was raised making it actually a huge nerf… same with Stability Road on Jallis. kittening flawless job guys.
