Curious why he didn’t give a shoutout to Guild Wars 2. #sadface

Probably not assigned to it at the moment. Wildstar is re-launching with free-to-play and Blade-and-Soul is coming to NA and EU soon.

I am PvP. Everything that interests me or concerns me need to be seen by family. PvPers and the PvP forums are my family. We love each other.

From what I remember from “the other game”, Bashiok was pretty good and frequent with communication, knowledgeable about the game, and friendly.

He is working for NCSoft, though in response to someone asking him about which games he’ll be working for he said “Me too! All games except ArenaNet ones (GW/GW2)”

If he isn’t going to be working with Guild Wars 2, not sure why we should care. From the posts, it sounds like mostly Wildstar.

Ye, I saw this too when I looked at the link. This makes me kinda happy becouse to me this looks like Anet have a very few ties with NCsoft, what NCsoft does dosn’t have to happen to Anet.

I bet he is soooo famous that Wildstar now finally will be the WoW killer since all
WoW players play that game only because of him, and without Bashiok the great
they all leave that garbage game to follow him to the greatness of Wildstar ^^

Most people haven’t. He was a community manager for World of warcraft. Most people playing WoW have never heard of him either, unless they frequented the forums.

Maybe that was true in the beginning, but at the end he was a sarcastic jerk that towed the Blizzard line even when Blizz was in the wrong.

I feel sorry for Wildstar if he’s going to be directly involved with it in any way.

Former Blizz community manager. Wasn’t actually very good at it, despite what WoW players might say.

I think this is more a thread for ex-WoW players to discuss a staff change that is relevant to WoW more than it’s relevant to Guild Wars 2, especially if the guy isn’t actually going to work for Guild Wars 2.
