Heh. Saw a ranger in PvP who’d named his pet wolf ‘Sheep’, that tickled me.

I’ll bet that when they change pets, the names stick.

My Asuran Ranger is named Beeste (like Beast), my Stalker is named Beauty .

I’m just glad to see someone from ArenaNet playing a ranger, was so weary of being the red-headed stepchild LOL

My bears name is “Bearbow Math R Hard” Those who know.. will get it =D

Hey, ANet.. While you’re at making witty names for your pets how about you address the Ranger sparring NPC that’s been MIA for the last… How long now? 6 months or more.. Or forever for all I know.

i always play bear/bow love it so much the bear pets are very good tankers
and my brown bear name is Sandy and have a little brown bear mini pet to so cute

I usually name my pet, regardless of what animal it is, “Emergency Rations”. :o

I once saw a Jaguar named ‘Juvenile Brown Bear’.

My ranger’s a norn, so I went to an Old Norse dictionary to pick names, with some tweaking to make them sound good to me. Then thanks to the constant name loss on swap, I had to make a Word list to remember them … so I have things like my jungle stalker Kelda (means spot), my jungle spider Eitretta (poison eight), my alpine wolf Issulfr (ice wolf).

The only name I did without that dictionary trick was my Blue Moa Fjordpiner. Hopefully someone will get the reference

That’s on my secondary ranger, He’s running a beastmaster build…

My prime ranger is a Eagle-Eye Longbow Ranger, he uses a stalker for might and a fern hound for regen He just kills the food and they eat it when he goes to collect his loot. as he’s so adept at killing stuff by himself the 2 decided to follow him, but there has not been a moment he was wondering how to name them. They live on the spoils of war…. leaching as he moves through the world.

I have a juvenile armor fish called " Gimmedatfilletofish" Gimme dat fillet o fish. i couldnt fit it all in there like wanted to but i was close enough. I couldn’t resist naming it that and it has stuck.

My pet wolf is named Thurston Howl. If I could rename my Goedulf, it’d be “Lovey”, naturally.

Underwater, my pet Marsh Drake goes by Godzilla Precursor. I can’t wait to finish my Legendary Pet!

I still occasionally use the infamous name that was at least briefly popular in GW1…

‘Spare Corpse’ – Necromancer/Ranger anyone?

Godzilla precursor is epic hahaha, my favourite so far.

I got a ranger friend that name his pets after some guildies. His bear is named “Aens the pooh” because my main character is named Aens. He also got a drake often called “Toothless” from How to train your dragon.

My ranger’s Jaguar is Captain Pounce. The Drake obtained from Southsun is called La Pesadilla Roja (Spanish for The Red Nightmare), and when she’s idle, she dances with her friend.

See, she’s a bit old school, likes to hark back to the days when GW2 dancing was a more novel experience.

So my second accounts ranger hit 80 today, so I celebrated and named my new brown bear “Talon” I am pleased with myself.

I have a ranger named “I Luv Moas” pet names for him goes as follows:
Pink Moa > Pink Moa
Bear > Fuzzy Moa
Reef Drake > Scaly Moa
Jellyfish > Squishy Moa
Devourer > Pointy Moa
Black Widow > Might not be Moa
etc

I saw a ranger named Arrrrggghhh. He had a black panther named “The Black Beast of Arrrrggghhh”.

Wolf – Big Bad Wolf
Pig – Im a Boar
Devour – Sacrificial pet (because all the npc’s are obsessed with targeting it, instead of my ranger).
Raven – chocolate bomb

My black panther is named Bagheera and my raven is called Nevermore.

You know something? For 8 months I had it as ‘La’ but I double checked it only recently and some translator brought it up as ‘El’. /shrug

My wolf is named “Undercover Sheep” and my jungle spider is “I Ate Lil Ms Muffet.” My bear is “Sits in the Woods.”

Other pets I like to name “Juvenile Delinquent” due to the huge number of pets running around with the “Juvenile XXX” default name. Always fun when people catch the change.

Most of my pets aren’t named, mainly due to the naming problems back in the beginning when I just gave up trying to keep a name tag on them. Two however are.
A bear named Necessities
and a raven named Matthew (may not mean a lot unless you have read Neil Gaimen’s Sandman books)

I have a ranger friend that runs around with his moas – Moa Money and Moa Problems.

My Lashtail is named Gross.

edit: Almost forgot my brown bear (when I use him) is Not so Gentle Ben

Unfortunately everytime I name my pet it’s got the same bug it’s had for a long time now. When I switch pets it loses it’s name completely.

My ranger is Dewey Killem and has a polar bear named Howe (Dewey Killem & Howe).

My Sylvari named “Hes Called The Twig” has a pet Arctodus named “Jeremy Clarkson.” I was bored. >.<

I rarely use them but I name my Moas “Lawn Moa”.

I’ve changed my ranger’s pets recently. But at one time I had an Eagle called Eddy. (if you’re British and 30+you’ll get that joke). While the other pet was a Brown Bear called “General Vladimir” (RA2)!
One time while experimenting with Devourers I named mine “Rocktail Jr”

My ranger is a female and thus my pet’s name is “She beats me”

My ranger’s favorite pet is Jawesome! Hes a shark ~
