I remember the anticipation and excitement in GW1 when one of my characters had a birthday and a new minipet was waiting in a nicely wrapped gift box. Now, in GW2 all i have to look forward to is my 4th Queen Jennah….that I can’t even auction off. :/ Would like to see random minipet gifts brought back. I don’t even care if they are rare or not.

Funnily enough in GW1 people didn’t really like the random mini-system either.
Because it was basically: Either you get unlucky and get a completely worthless Mini (or one you already have) or if you are superlucky you get one that is more or less invaluable and could get enough money/ectos/whatever to get more or less whatever you want in the game.

Now everyone gets the same thing, rather than hoping that the RNG (that people love to complain about) will give them something good.

They could at least make it race oriented. My charr/norn/asura/sylvari doesn’t need or want queen what’s her face, my human likes her well enough.

I agree so much with the OP. Other than the birthday booster, everything I will receive will be completely worthless to me. Don’t need 20 levels, since I have no more empty toon spots. Don’t need another of the same mini I can’t sell and already have. I hate to sound unappreciative, but there must be an answer here. Giving everyone the same thing just isn’t worth it. To be honest, this reminds me of my mom. She gives the worst gifts. I know her heart is in the right place, but if I’m throwing it out or to the bottom of the closet, I feel bad that she wasted time, effort and money on it. Save your effort ANet.

An alternative: give everyone 5 black lion chest keys and the birthday booster. At least we would have a chance at something cool/useful/good.

Agreed…I wouldn’t use Queen Jennah’s mini not even if I had become crazy all of a sudden and made a Logan clone -.- It sucks and it’s rotting in my collectible (In hope she(they) will miss oxigen at some point and die, or that the snow leopard will get hungry and use them as feed -.-) building a slow stack of them as the time goes by. -.- (Not to mention the Risen Priests of Balthazar………………..) Let us kick this trash into MF at least, and get a 10s worth blue mini out of 4 of them -.-

You’ve only got 4!! I’ve got a soccer team that’s hoping to beat the holographic knights in this year’s Zenleto’s Mini League.

One year, they should give us a mini Soulbound version of… Ourselves (i.e. the character) as captured on the exact anniversary day.

I have 8 Jennas btw and will eventually have 15…

Hoping to get lucky with the Mystic Toilet by throwing hundreds of gold at it isn’t the same as hoping to get lucky with a free Bday present.

If at least you could interact with mini-Jennah, like stomping or kicking her… Nah, I don’t like her, so getting her 6 times is way too much for me! è_é
