Just bought the game and been playing around 4 weeks now, and someone tells me today that i’m blacklisted. When and why and what that means exactly? I’m a bit confused. I haven’t offended anyone, scammed anyone, i haven’t even talked to anyone, just been playing solo. Love the game, but now i’m just confused.

If it was another player that told you that, then they were just trolling you by the sound of it.

I have never heard of anyone else being “blacklisted”, the only thing that can happen is an account ban. Or maybe they just put you on their block list, which won’t affect you at all.

Agreed with Zalladi – it sounds like you’re being trolled. Even if not, it’ll have so little effect on you, you won’t notice anyway. Just move on from that/those people.

Blacklisted means being refused some type of service or item. For example if you rent a car and then destroy it that place may refuse to ever rent to you again (and may share their blacklist with other rental places in the area so you can’t rent from them either, although this may not be legal everywhere).

But you can’t be blacklisted from the game as a whole so without some context it’s impossible for us to guess what the person who said this meant. Possibilities range from them trying to troll you, or simply saying that they don’t like you and won’t talk to/play with you, to you and them encountering one of the restrictions put on new accounts to prevent them being (easily) used by gold sellers.

For example there are limits on how much gold you can send and receive by mail, which is gradually increased as you play (up to a limit of 500g per week) so if they were trying to send you gold they might have been told it’s not allowed. You also can’t access a guild bank until you’ve been a member for a few days (and been given permission by the leader or an officer).

(You can be banned from the game, which I suppose is like being blacklisted. But in that case you wouldn’t be able to log in at all.)

He probably means he blocked you for whatever reason lol dont pay any attention to it.

A player can put other players on his personal “block list”, which is a “ignore list” for chat. Some people refer to this as “blacklisting”.

So it could mean, that others ignore you in chat with their “block list”.
