Q:

Safely, that is?

If I wanted my Sunrise to have Berserker stats, would it now be safe to transmute and still retain the purple text, legendary status for future updates which may improve its stats? I ask because of this patch note:

“Transmuting weapons now preserves the higher rarity of the two items.”

I want to be absolutely certain rather than experimenting on something so valuable. >_>

Also interested to know whether it’d be eligible to scale up with ascended weapons when they launch if it’s transmuted.

I would still wait until this has been explicitly covered in full detail by the Anet developer in charge of this.

Definitely do not put your faith in Anet one-liners on this issue.

I’ve been trying to track down a guy who I know has transmuted in the past with bad results to see if his weapon changed back to purple, but I haven’t seen him on.

I just transmuted my incinerator, and it is being showed as orange on the chat box.

I guess a dev would really need to elaborate about that patch note better.

I just transmuted my Flameseeker to, the name is purple, but in the link chat it apper orange, but that thing that worried me is that in the Descrption dont appear the word “Legendary” above the class weapon, like other items, and i can put in the Mystic Forge with other exotic weapons, and and when i put in my inventori the chat said “Cleric Pearl Shield”.

The only thing that seems to change is that the name is still purple.

There it go my question to arena.net, they are really still legendary weapons or Exotic with purple names ???

This is true, this not only a bug or fail desing like previus issue, they are lying us messed our legendary weapons.

I expect a answer soon, and if they are messed a REAL SOLUTION, no a " we cant do anything sorry……", I pay for my mistakes if i bug, exploit etc…. i expect that arena.net pay for their mistakes if they lie their costumers.

And i worried a lot because arena.net dont have 1 minute of their time to answer some important matter to us, it cant be good.

Would it not have been a good idea to go to the TP buy a blue and a green for a few coppers, and test it out?

I’m lost for words to the people who actually tried transmuting their legendaries first.

Still waiting for the things I love about GW1.

Also interested to know whether it’d be eligible to scale up with ascended weapons when they launch if it’s transmuted.

You do realize long ago they said ascended was between exotic and legendary in terms of rarity and stats. So what you just said…yeah.

On topic I’d be interested to know too.

And be extremely elaborate in their description of what’s going on. It’ll save them some headache when they release ascended weapons, though now I’m waiting to hear that due to some technical limitation (or insert random excuse) existing legendary weapons will not be increased to ascended tier quality as was previously intimated.

Also interested to know whether it’d be eligible to scale up with ascended weapons when they launch if it’s transmuted.

You do realize long ago they said ascended was between exotic and legendary in terms of rarity and stats.

Actually, all they said is that ascended tier is between exotic and legendary in terms of acquisition effort. They also said that legendary weapons will be buffed to be on par with (ie not better than) ascended weapon stats when ascended weapons are released, but there’s even less guarantee now that this will actually happen.

I expect a answer soon, and if they are messed a REAL SOLUTION, no a " we cant do anything sorry……", I pay for my mistakes if i bug, exploit etc…. i expect that arena.net pay for their mistakes if they lie their costumers.

Don’t get your hopes up; they’ve got a “do as I say, not as I do” mentality.
