Can we get some good sci-fi outfits?
yeah that’d be neat
I will admit I’ve imagined myself dressed as Neo from the Matrix. That would be a neat outfit to have in the game. And even better if the dodge animations were changed to look like that cart-wheel type dodging they did in the movie. And if enemy projectiles had the bullet-time ripples behind them….

Maybe you didn’t take the red pill….. ;D
No sci fi outfits until I get my loincloth.
Please add commando class and outfit, and blaster rifle skin.
Something like…this?
Or this!
Would you like some hard cheeze with your sad whine?
Mage-like classes are technically far more advanced than classes with robots and mechs.
After all, Q from Star Trek and the ascended beings from Stargate were far more powerful than any army of stormtroopers, Klingons, Asgard, etc. Heck, even a low-level shinigami from Bleach could roflstomp some of the strongest sci-fi races.
Speaking of which, my cross-game character is fairly sci-fi. Basically treats the “magic” bit as latent ascended energy or psychic abilities or spirit abilities, depending on location and type of ability, and the Mists and other spirit planes as parallel/neighboring dimensions: https://twitter.com/Guardian_Nyx
But yea I concur that it would be nice to have some other sci-fi armor, too. I have no problem with all sorts of “immersion-breaking” things being added to the gem store so that people can pay for whatever type of immersion they want.
and in a game were technology is present (golems, guns, gyros etc.) i think it seriously lacks some good sci-fi skins/outfits.
It’s not technically Sci-Fi, it’s techno-magic. Maybe the Charr kinda touch on steam-punk-ish.

Don’t the asura call their stuff magitech? And is that a term for just asuran tech or all magic-related tech in Tyria? I also came across the term ‘diesel-punk’ that seems to fit the Charr.
Something like…this?
YES something like this, but a bit more bulkier and with gear that is one set that matches not mix and match. good job btw
NO! Please no! Immersion is gone maybe for you. But for me not. Seeing you running around in Spock Costume will hurt my immersion. So no.
All Asuran tech runs on magic. It’s not clear, but Charr tech seems to be mostly magical as well. Magic is ingrained in every single thing everyone does, as is made clear by the fakeass bullkitten nature of Asuran science

…charr tech runs on combustion engines…

Dude. Thief/Daredevil. Seriously, how have you not made one with that vision? It’s literally just about everything you want.

Seeing half the people walking around in huge and terrible looking wings already destroyed any possibility of immersion. At this point they can add anything.

Techno-magic and magitech are pretty much synonyms :P
But yeah diesel-punk is probably a better term for Charr technology. My X-punk knowledge failed me XD
Humans though have something closer to clock punk, at least looking at the Watchknight.
Maybe something like the steampunk technomagic of the tabletop wargame/RPG Warmachine? There’s a lot of cool magic-meets-medieval-and-machines concepts on the battlefields of the Iron Kingdoms.
And, oh, maybe ANet can start making a Golemancer Character Class, make Golems really weaponized. Like Warjacks.
I miss my Warcaster

Theres actually few steampunk armors here and there, i actually start playing Fallout 4 yesterday and omg how much i would love to get something like a Power armor outfit for my engineer, it is very steampunk-ish

As long as it’s a backpiece.

Hmm… I haven’t tried thief yet but maybe it’s time.
Sci-Fi? in Guild wars 2?! I’m sorry no, that would totally break immersion. Now if you would excuse me, I have to teleport to the flying cube city rata sum go pick up my mechanized golem.
Sarcasm aside, they really need to do an entire sci-fi event or something(Asurans on the moon perhapses?)
No thanks—the core game has pretty much been destroyed due to misguided leadership. No need to rub more salt in the wounds.
Guys, humans literally came from another planet….humans are aliens in tyria sci fi is just begging to be there. Lol no but seriously, I’ve been asking for this for so long. The Crystal Arbiter outfit has been fulfilling my needs so far, its futuristicish

More variety is always good my friend, fantasy sci-fi combo always was cool concept in movies and other games, as someone mentioned steampunk is actually a proper combination of those two.
Can’t wait to fight the space dragon
