I agree! I would like it if it would just say which map and not the which puzzle. Then players could look for it if they dont already have it and be surprised when they find it.

I think the events in HoT cover that doing a set jp for that day. The old daily jp was ppl getting port to the super easy ones and that it more of an easy free out and not realy content.

but its up to the players to decide how they play content. If they want a fast port thats up to them. But Im sure there are many out there who would love to do these jumping puzzles if they had more insentive to do so. Quite a few new players diligently do the dailies and use it as a way to get familiar with new content. Also, we dont know when HoT will be released^^°.

Yeah, JPs could use some love. An occasional Daily category, and maybe there finally being a Title for completing all of them?
at first i was going to say no but the more i think about it op im giving a yes please. fact is im terrible at jps and on the jp days i can see people helping other more due to good nature of game i might actually finish all the jps i havent gotten that way. but in stead of one jp maybe all jps within a region instead

Yes, the daily vista viewer that was added when puzzle jumper was removed is so much better.
But why no have both? Noone would be loosing anything and if you dont like jumping puzzles it wouldnt effect you anyway , beacuse you wouldnt do it^^

Personally, I would not, as I’m utterly useless at them.
On the other hand, JP dailies would incentivise me to practice and get better at them

I like a lot the idea, however I am also afraid that it would prompt for a lot of “selling portal for daily JP – 1g”
Without enforcing a specific map, it still could target a region just like the gathering dailies do:
- there are enough JPs per region to avoid telling where the JPs are when targetting a region
- yet it would reduce the range of available JPs, therefore improving the chance for players bad at jumping to find other players able to help them / show them around / port them
- a smaller range of options prompts players to discover new options instead of going for the same old one

Rather not :/ Already hate it with all the fractal things, I only do the daily contribution on the maps I play. If you like jumping, go outsite and do it on the street! :P
Absolutely. Either mixed in some days as an option, or add another option for each type to choose from (JP for PvE, and two others for the other modes). I miss having that further incentive or “push” to do them each day.
Would love to have them as dailies, but at the same, i don’t… The zerg will ruin it and make it more tedious than enjoyable.
If i remember correctly, the monthly JP achievement was all about finding the entrance to complete. But yeah would be a nice addition to the daily system and surely a nice incentive to do them again. +1 to this idea.

If they fix them so people can’t park them up there, i’m totally fine with that, and i would love to have JPs changed…
For example:
On beginning of every JP, there is a NPC, that would require to talk to him, to acquire a key. that key would expire in estimated time, lets say JP takes 30 min to finish, it would expire in 2x time of JP. So in order to open final chest, you would have to use that key. JPs would be repeatable and rewarding, without options to use parking to WPs.
We need solution to fix JPs and make them farmable, i enjoy jumping, and i feel i should be rewarded a little bit more for what i enjoy..

If they added daily JP as an extra thing to do I would be very happy. I am a JP addict. Basically, increase the number of tasks offered. I do JPs simply for the fun of them.
If they replaced one of the tasks with a daily JP I wouldn’t like it. I go through times when I am lazy, tired, or whatnot and want to take the easiest route to my daily. Right now my ideal lazy times dailies are gatherer, vista viewer, world boss (if its up when I am on), mystic forger, WvW (to fill up my daily). I would like my lazy daily to remain as it is and have JPs as a cherry on top.

You’re already rewarded for running JPs. If you want them to be ‘farmable’, bring different characters. Each has a crack at the chests along the way.
But you probably mean ‘farmable’ as in ‘dumps vast riches per single run’. Except for a small handful, JPs are easy. Most are short and have no monsters; some of those that do encourage you to run past them. They don’t need to gift a guaranteed rare/exotic every time you do them. Even if you couldn’t park a character or get a portal, that would still devalue the returns you get from them.
I’d like them to add back some of the options for dailies that they removed. I like the ten AP for three items, and I generally do more, but I support more choices. What was the reasoning behind taking them out, anyway?
Jumping puzzles are really only fun for the first time, because the entire point of them is figuring out how to complete the puzzle.
Now, if there were some kinds of challenges e.g. timers or extra hard routes you need to take or only having 1 HP in a puzzle with a lot of enemies/damaging hazards, sure, I’d love that to be a thing.
Not if you can do any jumping puzzle, or even any in a region to get it. Then people just makes the easiest one and it becomes pointless.
But if jumping puzzles are part of the ‘bounties’ that count towards the Map Reward bounties that we may be getting in the future, that’ll be nice.
You want those Corrupted Lodestones? Then you complete Shattered Ice Ruins.
I’ll be even better if there was variations of them, like instanced Adventure versions of them with extra stuff like timed challenges or tricky enemies with unique mechanics you have to figure out.

Maybe they could just give hints like “complete a Jumping puzzle in Hayathi Hinterlands”. It won’t tell you where exactly but you ’ll know in which map to search for it.

That’s something that I think would be nice to have, but at the same time, I think mesmers will start offering portals for sale.

I think they should have more daily options to get the 100%. for now we have 4 options I think? and have to do 3 in order to get the 100%, I’d love to have 5 or more options.
Jumping puzzles honestly take too long for dailies in my opinion. I honestly would prefer not to.
depends on the jumping puzzle, I’ve done many of them in 5-10 mins.
some of the other dailies take more than that to me.
I still don’t know why they haven’t added a Daily Treasure Hunter.
This would take care of having Jumping Puzzles as a Daily without forcing players who hate them to play them. It would be a short total (Chests Opened #/3 or #/5) of opening hidden idle Chests around the world – or region if they want to condense it. Players could then run Jumping Puzzles if they like them and still be rewarded for it towards the Daily, while players who hate Jumping Puzzles can go look in some spooky caverns for any Chests nesting in the wild, Mini-Dungeons are also more appealing knowing their Chest goodies will count. Any combination of exploring will work since it would require a small number of Chests opened and not just one-and-done. It would promote exploration, still have a min-max route for each region for the grindy group, and make players feel doubly rewarded (read: happy) for getting loot for getting loot.
I loved Daily & Monthly Jumping Puzzle Achievements, but Treasure Hunter would basically be that without excluding those who don’t like the niche gameplay they offer. Seems like a fun win-win achievement category to me.
I would love to have daily jumping puzzle achievement back. But maybe not just in the form of a generic daily JP, but at least “daily kryta jumping puzzle”.
Ultimately I think it’d be cool to have a specific jumping puzzle (or a mix of 2-3 to choose from, not necessarily only from one region) that you’d have to complete each day for the achievement.
I think the medium diff ones could be a great addition to the daily queue.
And I would really apreciate if Anet somehow raised the reward for doing them. Some are really long or difficult, and only gives you a couple of things you could obtain killing an easy boss just hitting 1. I want a title for completing them all!

Omg YES I’d love to see it come back! Last night I did 2 jps in LA just for fun…it’s a bit sad, the dailies are so boring now, almost the same thing every day, and nothing that’s interesting or fun to do
Yes, I would like to see regional jumping puzzles.
I’d also like a wider variety of world boss events.
I’d also like regional mini-dungeon dailies – stuff like Vexa’s Lab, Ruins of the Unseen, Forsaken Halls.
I’d also like to see a generic ‘dungeon completer’ daily – separated into story mode daily and explorable mode daily.
Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.

No, the old monthly JP required you to reach the end to count.

I usually do 4-5 jumping puzzles per day, but they are WAY too easy (obviously aiming for the causal public). I do like more the extreme jumping puzzles AKA exploring how to get out of the maps (22 and counting already xD).
I need a puzzle that can be failed easily. Not so secret was in the good direction, it’s just annoying that you die and need to WP back. Do a puzzle as hard as Not So Secret (well, if it’s harder even better) but removing the dying part (only losing progress if you fall) and I will be there daily.

Only if they increase the amount of choices for the daily. It’s bad enough having 2 fractal dailies. Imagine 2 fractal dailies and a jp daily in one day. Ughhhh….
But more choices would be nice. I miss costume brawl daily.
They’re one of the most fun and original parts of the game, any incentive for players to do them more than once would be awesome.
