Challenge: Most no. of deaths you have!
I have apparently died 174 times. I don’t believe it for a second; pretty sure it should be lots more than that!
I stepped into Fractals for the first time ever last night, and experienced much death. I’m sure if I’d played them before now I’d have a suitably high count. As it is, I’ve probably just had standard ignoble open world death the most.
2,708 on elementalist.
1198 -1339 hours played
249 – 272 hours played
I die a lot. When I was playing gw 1, I always won this game.
War lvl 38 – 32 deaths 33hrs Pre skynet patch testing myself in +5 zones
Guardian lvl 80- 290 deaths 348 hrs – Trying to solo dungeons
Ele lvl 80 – 464 deaths 409hrs- Being crap/ not zerker
Engi lvl 80 – 159 deaths 118hrs- Being crap and not dodging properly
Mesmer lvl 80 – 94 deaths 108hrs – Getting used to proper sword 2 usage.
Total deaths 1039

I’ve a lot of deaths because I like jumping puzzles. Especially the Griffonrook run jumping puzzle with the bomb. Also, getting gangraped by 60 man zergs in WvW.
Basically rarely die to anything else…
Died 2,168 times on my thief main.
I think it was mostly due to SAB.
Great Idea.. love data collections like this.
Note should go to the obvious variations.
First character play-through: We all get better as we play the game- first character will have more deaths then the last.
Done many JP’s on that character vs another? = more deaths with a JP character.
Fractals and dungeons are more deadly than most open world content.
Orr—- especially first time to Orr tends to slaughter players. Many new mechanics. Few yellow mobs.
WvW – will also kill you more times.
Listed in sequence of leveled first to last-
Set V for done.
So—————————-Fractals – Dungeons – WvW – JP – Orr Done – Death/hrs
Ele: 1375 hours – 1120! deaths- . VF VD VW VJP VOrr – 0,81
First character- clearly my “main”
Ranger: 491 hours – 103 deaths VOrr – 0,21
Warrior: 239 hours – 140 deaths VOrr – 0,59 o.O
Engi: 295 hours – 87 deaths VD VJP – 0,29
Necro: 188 hours – 53 deaths – 0,28
Guard: 202 hours – 34 deaths – 0,17
Mesmer: 114 hours – 36 deaths VJP VOrr – 0,32
Thief: 32 hours – 27 deaths – 0,84
New made character- lack of traits due to patch.
Rushing through maps, to get away from all the zergs.
Very interesting data from this and the other players data input.

10k+ GOMFL!!! (and that should definitely be worth a title!!!)
Found another thread on same topic back a yeah ago.

Back then the collective data showed this:
class – # deaths per hour (total deaths / total hours)
1. Thief – 0.65
2. Engineer – 0.88
3. Ranger – 0.88
4. Elementalist – 1.11
5. Warrior – 1.39
6. Necromancer – 1.46
7. Mesmer – 1.65
8. Guardian – 1.67
Will be very interesting to see what numbers we get now a year later.
Ele being my main — 4086 deaths. Been playing since headstart.
Deaths per hour — 0.83.

Not luck and credit cards.”
702 deaths since launch on my ranger main. Most of them from WvW. Funny, I thought I would be looking at well over 1,000.

3 is just about right on for deaths per hour on my Ranger
Mmo players with a screw loose vs mmo players with two screws loose. All very important stuff.
-Zenleto-
5263 Deaths, over 2606 hours.
I think I don’t mind if I die falling off to try break maps lol. (Or re-do most of the harder Jum ping puzzles, or do the SAB turbulence mode a lot of times x) )
Necromancer – 1,071 hours, 906 deaths
Elementalist – 774 hours, 427 deaths
Elementalist 2 – 76 hours, 68 deaths
Warrior – 352 hours, 211 deaths
Warrior 2 – 518 hours, 419 deaths
Thief – 399 hours, 780 deaths (Lol SAB)
Guardian – 423 hours, 276 deaths

Last time I checked my main had over 11.4k deaths
If you provide Profession- Hours – Deaths
I will sum up the entries for statistical purpose in a month or so..
Though there are many factors involved- we should get some interesting numbers out of this.
If we have enough entries to calculate on – we can even out the variations.
For me so far there has been quite a few surprises. already.
Will be keen to see if numbers variate much from last year. etc
As you wish…
Ele – 4960.22 hrs – 4086 deaths. DPH = 0.82
Ranger – 185.17 hrs – 112 deaths. DPH = 0.60
Thief – 181.36 hrs – 193 deaths. DPH = 1.06
Guardian – 160.45 – 104 deaths. DPH = 0.65
Mesmer – 128.30 hrs – 226 deaths. DPH = 1.76 (Levelled mostly in WvW S2 with b’day booster, pre-15Apr patch)
Warrior – 120.40 hrs – 108 deaths. DPH = 0.89
Necro (L53) – 29.48 hrs – 21 deaths. DPH = 0.70 (just getting him started)
Engineer (L20) – 3.10 hrs – 3 deaths. DPH = 0.95.
Total = 5770.36 hrs, 4853 deaths. DPH = 0.84.
“Obtaining a legendary should be done through legendary feats…

I only have the one character.
Class – Ranger
Age – 403 hours 22 minutes
Deaths – 45
Around 35 of my deaths have come from WvW
