Character Template Manager.
Ok now. Where is it? You can’t hide it forever.
And with all those new things and features in the next update, this should be among them. Actually this should’ve been here 2 years ago. Still no response to the whole visual nerf thing, 5 gemstore inventory slot for the price of a whole new expansion, boring pvp meta, a weird league system, a new gamemode with one single map. But this is far worse. You have created this fancy new specialization feature, now make it comfortable to use before you add more and more to it.
How is this not one of the top priorities?
I have to say I like the idea. Would definitely make things easier than having to go and select everything everytime
Coming soon:
Build Save Slot – 800 Gems each / 5 pack – 3500 Gems
I made a thread about this awhile back, and I was called lazy. It would be nice to have templates like GW1 had, though, to more quickly change armor, weapons and traits for different game modes/areas.

On the one hand, I agree with the implication that this should have been part of the base game in 2012, not in the gem shop.
OTOH: only 800 gems to save one build per character? I’m in.

Any change will be met with some hard-to-understand criticism; some people like the fact that they have to walk uphill to school and uphill to get back. (Apparently, it builds character to tell people how tough it was in the old days.)

This feature has been asked for over and over again since release. It’s about kitten time.
If this topic gets enough pages of positive discussion we might get an automated post from gaile saying they appreciate our feedback, and like the ideas :’)
Honestly tho this should have been added since launch seeing how many traits and sigils and whatnot there is to fiddle with. Why is this still not a thing…

You mean like the visual nerfs thread?
“For Great Justice”!
It’s the ERA of money, adding convenient features only cost them money and don’t directly earn them money. (Because they don’t realise a happy customer is a spending customer)
You can tell a huge difference between GW1 polishing and GW2 polishing.
Money money money.
“Arise my minions!”
I was searching for a thread that actually suggested role/gear swapping, I did not find it using the forums search function (my error in judgement, search has never worked), but not finding it I googled it and found the following thread:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/Saving-Gear-sets-and-Trait-points/first#post5987071
But it was pointed out that this thread was already in existence, so I am posting here to offer my support for this option to Anet’s team for a QOL addition for players.
No sense in repeating my entire post but here is the jist of it:
Each “role” setup allows for a specific set of gear/weapons/accessories to be included in the swap. You may spend some considerable time setting these up to begin with, but once you’ve done that, you have a single macro press that does the swapping for you that is extremely helpful. Not to mention once it is working, you won’t forget to swap something out that goes with a particular build.

They could easily monetize this feature. Let’s say… 800 gems for one extra trait and gear page (per character or account).
