Charged lodestone drop rates, solution?
They should add events that involve a large amount of elementals since event drop rates seem better, and it would be a way to have more options to farm elementals since events repeat. That would be better than having to wait for Dwayna’s temple or whatever temple to be re-taken by us. I’m surprised molten lodestones aren’t more seeing that Balthazar’s temple (the trigger for spawning embers in Orr) is never taken.
I have a grand total of 4 charged lodestones, 2 onyx and 1 molten. 1 of the charged was from finding a core in 1 of 100 bags of theoretical materials I bought on the TP to see the drop rate and then buying another core to do that mystic forge recipe to upgrade it to a lodestone. The molten I upgraded from 2 cores – 1 of which I got as a drop and 1 which I bought from TP and mystic forged them. I found 2 onyx lodestones off earth elementals from Lyssa’s temple (separate days) and the other 3 charged lodestones, I found 1 at Lyssa’s temple and 2 outside of Doric’s waypoint.

Too bad you didn’t loot karka with five alts.
Too bad you didn’t loot karka with five alts.
Well, I have only one lvl80 (my main) and Im not the kind of person to repeat stuff that I have already seen (example, lvling up a new char).
Anyway, did the karka event with my main, didnt get any lodestones, but 4 exotics, and one rare exotic (Deathwish).
It’s not about sightseeing, it’s about making money.
You see, you have one problem.
Legendaries are best obtained thru the Trading Post. However, money in this game, as well as the real world, naturally come in the hands of a very select elite. Do you understand the consequences of this fact?
It’s no wonder that the two people I know that have the most legendaries (yes, each has multiples on multiple alts) are the two people who made the most money on the TP. Legendaries have become the plaything of the TP masters. Paying 1000 gold for lodestones is a joke for them. Their ability to pay lots for legendary ingredients drives the prices out of the reach of the average players…forever. Good luck!

Yes I understand what you are saying, but, If so, why did Anet nerf the drop rates? before you didnt need to buy stuff from the TP, the drop rates were reasonable for everything back then, so everyone, even the elitists and the average player was happy. Now only the elitists are happy because they have secured themselves with tp manipulation since the beginning.
Btw, Infinite light isnt a legendary, and so it shouldn’t kitten be harder to get than a ugly legendary like bolt. 250 t6 is still alot, but I would be ok with it if it was still possible to get 5 lodestones a week…
It just seems that Anet reduced the drop rates to; prevent boting (boting isnt bad, it actualy helps the economy alot because there is more of everything). And to mayby push people into buying gems.

The TP in this game is much worse than flawed. It’s realistic. In time, more and more of the gold in the game will end up in the top 1% of the players. They don’t really have any use for it, it’s not like they can buy mansions or pay divorce settlements as the rich do in the real world. So they buy legendaries, multiple, on multiple alts.
That’s the reason why the “classic” mmo model will mostly hand soulbound top rewards…so that players are rewarded for playing the game well, not for playing the TP.
That’s also why the “hardcore” mmo model allows for looting and destroying of property. There, one could buy a legendary on the market, but will lose it almost instantly without personal game skill.
As you can see, GW2 has the worst elitist issues of both worlds. Consider yourself lucky if next month lodestones aren’t twice as expensive as they are now.

So i guess Anet is to blame to for not realy thinking this through at all…

You forget the part where charged lodestones are on high demand for alot of items.
In theory highest on par demand.
Doesn’t just simply have to do anything with drop-rates.

I agree with this post. It’s in a bad state.
