The class balance is gone. Thiefs hitting for 20k (1 shot).

Devs, I ask you to balance classes before launching the expansion.

Update: I got hit for 23k a minute ago.

I think there is a bug with death judgement, seen it twice personally after using it the next auto seems to proc another death judgement

Keep giving feedbacks. The demo weekend is specifically for this. Some specs/skills are underpowered, while some overpowered. At least we got to test and give our feedback now, rather than got surprised if the numbers stay the same at live.

There’s a SS of someone hitting over 100k damage with death’s judgement. Yes, that was under perfect circumstances, but thieves are still defending that, which is just ridiculous.

I have no idea what most people tested it on with getting those ridiculous 30k
I only tested it in wvw for more practical results with 25mights 7 stack malice and it only does 13-15k at most.

if its within 10k-ish it’s still acceptable imo. A berserker with glass cannon build can do 14k gunflame as well. Deadeye actually need to meet alot more conditions in order to do that kind of burst damage.
20k will definitely be overtune.

I don’t play PvP/WvW much but I can say that damage is fine for glass cannon builds. It would be a problem in PvE because it would make encounters too easy with one Chrono tank and four Deadeyes, but in PvP game modes that Thief will drop like a fly to anyone even sneezing at him with his 10K base HP.

Keep in mind Deadeye loses triple dodge, evades, etc. and has a hard time with movement, they may be the most fragile subclass in the expo, and PvP has not and will not ever reward fragility; heal/evade tanking is the meta game.

I think people are overreacting. You have to be immobile and wait a good length of time with the person KNOWING they’re marked, if they’re not constantly being shot at they should know what’s coming and react accordingly. A deadeye is not just popping off a bunch of massive damage shots at range without some thought being put into it and a little bit of luck.

1v1 with deadeye might be okay, but if you are trying to deal with another player and the deadeye easily snipes you for 25k, that’s not fun at all. I can understand if a thief traits and builds for full zerk and crank those numbers, that’s fine. but testing the spec with non zerk non optimized gear starts you off with that much damage straight up already. that’s a problem. also seeing deadeye in play they don’t seem to have a problem with mobility. they stay at max range and move and stay at max range. for most classes it’s not exactly the easiest to reach already even if you simply just run away.

And thieves complain when they get oneshot by a gazelle. Now that I think back on it, all of these complaints happen with every new thing. Vanilla thieves were called OP with their stealth/heartseeker spammage. It’s a vicious cycle of one class calling another OP just because that class is pumping out bigger numbers than they are.

Those armadillos would be a lot cooler if they looked more like real armadillos. mmm armadillos

I for one never thought regular thieves are OP, not daredevil either. but without building for max damage, the numbers are insane and I have not seen deadeyes have serious problems with mobility or survivability on the field yet (not based just on my experience but I spent a great deal of time observing fights)

Glass cannon snipe build had been around for years. No body really play them because in actual coordinated wvw blob fight they are still not really viable, and it’s just a fun and “selfish” build. Deadeye is fine as long as they fix that death judgement bug that probably exist.

The thieves I have encountered with this skill are quite mobile and have permanent stealth. Not easy to target whatsoever.

I have 22k hp and get one shot by a thief. That is not fine. Why would you want something like that in a game, it ruins all the fun in pvp. If everyone one shot everyone there is no point doing pvp anymore. No challenge.

The bug is not really the only problem here.
