Collectibles Expander
Interesting stuff. How about 2.5 billion or so in a stack? Because that’s what the last game I played bank offers as well as personal inv spaces for some items like cash, runes etc. So how many bits would 2+ billion work out at, seriously I am interested lol?
What game was that?
Also, fun exercise: you can find out for yourself.
Get an ordinary calculator, multiply 2 by 2 and press “=” a few times. Pressing it seven times will get you 256 (2 in power of 8 ), and pressing it fifteen times gets you 65,536 (2 in power of 16), and to get up to 2 billion you need… Well, that’s the fun of it. Not a whole lot.
EDIT: Root, you spoilsport.

Runescape and yeah I figured, just too tired for math right now lol…
I dunno, I don’t know why this is that surprising. This is what happens when is game has no subscription and is free to play. The money comes from somewhere, in this case it’s convenience and cosmetics.
The game already had almost the exact same things since launch. You could buy more character slots, more inventory slots, more bank slots. This is exactly the same as all of that. You don’t need these things to play. They add convenience, sure, but it ultimately doesn’t make or break the game for anyone.
If you don’t want to pay a subscription this is what you get.
This right here.
PvE Main – Zar Poisonclaw – Daredevil

2bad not working for bank, just for collections
Got 1 x +250 atm, would love to buy the other 2. Only thing I want to know is: does this upgrade also counts for new upcoming collection slots?
I do agree that the overall price is a bit higher than necessary. However, I am not really upset about it. Keep in mind that the 250 limit existed prior to GW2, so seeing it was not surprising and we have gotten some rather nice features for free.
The wallet was a godsend and I don’t know about anyone else, but this alone freed up a mass amount of my bank spaces, by getting rid of tokens, relics, guild commedations, etc. Even before that though, at launch all these event items (candy corn etc) did not have a tab, nor did things like obsidian shards, ecto, the lodestones etc, so that update too freed up a mass amount of space. Course you could argue these should have existed from the start, but if they were really so ‘money hungry’ it could have been aquired via the gem store. Now while it’s true the amount of mat’s needed for crafting has increased (only for ascended really), it’s not such a huge increase that should cause anyone to need to go out and buy this as you can convert dust etc to bricks, which also have an individual slot.
All in all I’d like it to be cheaper (and would expect a sale at some point) but I don’t feel some sort of betrayal or feel the need to rave screaming ‘kitten them capitalist pigs’. Besides, at the end of the day, everything can still be aquired with gold, albeit the exchange rate isn’t as lovely as it use to be.
Let’s not bicker and argue over who killed who.
