Combo Killer?

What sorcery is this? How do you perform one? It is not working…

no matter how hard we try doing combo finishers as a thief and a warrior we can’t get a single combo counted. Any idea why? Any weapon/ enemy combinations that you can suggest us to try?

Dark Combo Field+Leap Finisher with my Necro buddy are not updating it!

trying myself. No matter what things we do we can’t get it. My friend is researching combo finishers for thieves and warriors and we can’t get it to work.

that’s what we’re doing. We’re doing combos on enemies and it’s not registering at all.

The “killing strike/final blow” must be a combo finisher(such as burning bolts).

Have you tried hitting it with combo’d fire or poison and then letting it die from the condition?

It is not “using” the combo on the enemy. It is “the combo strike” must be the move that kills the enemy off.

Tried it correctly – does not work
wall of fire – whirlwind with the guardian’s greatword, get the last hit, nothing happens, the same thing with the leap of faith combo finisher

how u can do combo with warrior?

I’ve been trying every class’s combo field/finisher combo I can find with a friend of mine. This does not work.

Tried doing combo kills with people, setting up poison fields, nothing.

The puppy daily is bugged like a bear.

So you need to actually make a lsthit with combo-finisher projectile? Or just use fire fieald to get fire shield some time during the fight?

black powder (combo field of smoke) on a thief and then a warrior has a few abilities on a sword and pistol.

Don’t most combos actually just result in buffs on the person creating the combo and not extra combo damage?

If that is the case then how are we expected to kill mobs with combos?

Please get this fixed ASAP. I’m hesitant to even do the rest of the dailies for fear they’d be for no reason.

What, really? Come on, that’s horrible. There’s no way you’re going to get something like this without trying hard. Don’t anet remember how much everyone complained about the snowball game achievement where you had to get the last hit in? Flag stopper or something?

I can confirm this is not working as well. We are trying on over 30 mobs with a obvious finish as kill and not updating

They should have just made the daily “participate in a combo”. Would encourage people grouping up and not having to deal with this garbage.

Good patch until i seen the combo finisher daily quest requirement

This achievement is an exercise in frustration. People fighting for kills, yelling at others to drop combos, and neigh impossible in WvW without some luck.

Before Dailies could be done with normal gameplay, minus the 15 types maybe, but now it’s a chore.

Hilarious – 30+ ppl in a big event in Orr button bashing skills, special FX everywhere as ppl try and get this achievement

Yep which is just par for the course with anets testing.

It’s easy in any PVE area. Go to Orr for instance or do a fractal. If you’re going to huff and puff and not have a few minutes of patience then yeah I guess it might drive you nuts. I LOVED the way it worked though. People were partying up.

Also remember that combos are a FIELD and a FINISHER.

Killed over 50 mobs in wvwvw in combofields with 5 other people.
We were at like 50% of the combo-kill achievemnt and everyone was spaming them at every mob. This is so random and stupid.
Also mesmer have mostly like 1 combo finisher per weapon – not fun.

Just done this with a few guildies, took a while for us all to get 10 combos but we did in the end. Seems slightly random, some people were getting it whilst others weren’t even though everyone was using combos. I was on my mesmer so I was just laying down null field and feedback and timewarp and veil for everyone to go through.
Definitely needs looking at, shouldn’t be on the last hit, a combo during any kill should count really!

A tip: If in a zerg in WvW, pull a doe or a boar into the zerg field

This better be VERY, VERY rare in the rotation of the new Dailies.

We had the most success when we attempted to get the first hit on a mob with a combo finisher. Not the killing blow. It still took a lot more than ten tries and I hope this gets changed.

Combo killer works when you open the fight with a combo field + finisher. And since lots of people want to get the daily, just ask in map chat for someone else that needs it too.

aye, my main is a GRD and I have 573 lifetime combo killers…deviding that by my playing time I average LESS than 1 combo killer per played hour! In short; chances of completing a daily with this achievement in it’s rotation is 0! Thanks

How on earth does one do this thing? Never worked it out!

This seems bugged, since some of our hits work, and others didn’t. I had a friend lay down necro wells and I would use combo finisher, and it would often trigger, but the counter would not go up. We did eventually get it though, but still, glad they’re looking at it.

Its working for us, you have to get a few combo hits in, not the finish itself. at 50% on the fields now

I am not trying to perform it with my own fields. I used fire fields of my guildmates.

Well that is why you only have to do 5/6 of the achievements, if you wish not to do that one, by all means, no one is forcing you to.
