I don’t know about you guys but I enjoy most of the changes the developers are thinking of adding later this year. Link below:

I have the following 2 questions (one which if an Anet representative could answer, would be awesome):

1 – How do you guys feel about the removal of MF gear? What would would like as a compensation?

2 – If you already own a legendary, will the stats “switch-up at any time” apply to them as well? (Could an Anet employee answer that question? Thank you)

Let your voices be heard!

search the forum no.2 has been answered a hundred times.

1 – Great! account bound MF is MUCH better and compensation ? allow us to choose what stat allocation and where they go on the current armor versions.

Personally, I wouldn’t mind seeing the people who had Magic Find gear get a bonus to their account bound Magic Find. I mean, if they get a new gear-type, especially one they don’t care for, it wouldn’t be fair to them at all… :/

1.) I used MF gear a lot (in open world but not dungeons, look at my sig)

Honestly, it’s a great move. It makes me less squishy since I can wear my normal DPS/tanky gear. AND it’s account bound. So I can farm with any character I wish.

As for compensation, I don’t know exactly how they’ll remove an item completely from the economy, but I could see them giving us a fixed number of MF consumables. For example, for all rare lvl 80 MF armor, you get 10 MF consumables. For all exotic lvl 80 MF armor, you get 50 MF consumables

2.) I really don’t see why they would prevent current users from utilizing that feature

They could also allow a unique stats switch similar to the one they want to add to legendary weapons but one you can only use once. For example you could turn your MF armor into berzeker, rampager, knight etc… but once you’ve chosen you can’t change it anymore.

As far as I understand, there will be consumables that will change your account-wide MF on a permanent basis.

Maybe you will be able to salvage any MF gear to retrieve such consumables.

If so, I hope that it is limited to a certain number of salvages per account, or else old MF gear will be bought up by the rich who will give themselves a nice big MF boost to become richer

Glad to see MF go, and they will probably work with characters with existing transmuted legendaries to make sure nobody loses out. Especially since the precursor scavenger hunt appears to be on the way, meaning more players will have legendaries.

Ok, I hope you guys are right about the legendary stuff, especially if it’s transmuted. To be honest, I thought I would get more negative response about the MF gear change (feeling like you wasted your gold), but so far everybody seems to be in favor of the change! Most of the compensations everyone agreed on so far is to be allowed to do a stat relocation on the armor.

On a different note, I know some people in the game that are not too happy about the ascended armor incoming. Anybody know why some are against this idea?
