Constant immobilization is not really "fun"
As a Guardian I must say I don’t know what you are talking about. Must be all the Aegis, Stability, and stun breakers. God I love Guardian lol
It’s a medical condition, they say its terminal….
I don’t have much stunbreak or condition removal on my Engineer and it drives me crazy. Need to change up my build, but I really don’t want to give up anything I’m using now. :-(

If you are killing mobs fast, all your stunbreakers will be on cooldown most of the time, so that won’t really help.
No, they’re not fun. But finding ways around them is. That’s why I love shields on my warrior. See an abomination widing up to send me flying? Shield Stance. Or dodge. Or shield bash.
Which heart is this? O_o
I’ve done world completion a couple of times and something that annoying would have left an impression but I don’t remember anything like that. The only times I remember being stun frequently is in Orr but there are no hearts in Orr.

OP, have you just recently started visiting Orr? If so, I understand your pain. All the 5-6 second immobilizes, spider pulls, squire stuns, and teleporting nobles have basically made me annoyed at those effects too.

I’ve reverted to a P/P Bomb elixir hybrid build because there simply aren’t any stunbreakers on kits/turrets/and many of the gadgets are lacking.
I use Elixir S/U Bombs P/P with swiftness endurance mostly pistol and mostly bomb but definitely formula 409.
In the beginning we were told that the mobs would grow in skill with the number of players present in an event. Now we have trash mobs roaming around like at launch and even tho there are fewer then there were before, having no immunity between stuns is ridiculous and doesn’t make for fun combat I agree!
I go to orr everyday with my engineer to farm ori and ancient, and even though lots of mobs there have cc, Im still fine with since I can just use rocket boots and magnet shield to move around with relative ease.
Now with that said, I avoid the water as much as possible. That sink status makes me scream at my monitor! >:(
Imo if they wanna make underwater combat appealing to players a good start would be by removing that blood boiling rage inducing state.
Ok, seems that I am not the only one. I have noticed this with many of my characters. At the moment I am running through Sparkly Fan with my Warrior (77). But remember all those centaurs, ogers, spiders, krait, undeads, drakes, humans – uhm, is there any kind of mob that doesn’t knock you down all the time?
I do not want PvE getting “easier”. I want Anet to be a little more creative finding ways to “enhance grinding experience” than this. Because at the end and after 1000 mobs it only remains as another form of time sink. Again: laying on the floor for 4-5 seconds in every(!) fight isn’t fun.
Yes there are some classes who don’t have those problems (at least my ele or ranger didn’t notice this so often). But I think you shouldn’t punish melee chars like this – no matter if they do more damage or not.
ofc is not fun when is applied to you…but when you chasing someone and he get immobilized and killed, you feel like a g6
@JemL: Yes of course. That wasn’t what I meant. As stated in my first post I indeed sometimes “like” it if a champ punishes me that way if I didn’t pay attention. But a champ is a champ and a regular mob is just one of a million.
Edit: Changed topic to explain it better.

For some reason i keep coming up either too soon or too late on block skills. Sure wish they would allow me to simply hold it down and go on recharge if i actually blocked something.
It forces you to choose whether or not taking skills that counter CC is worth it. Making choices like this is part of the gaming experience.
smack..Wut?…smack…smack…
over half a year ago they said we will be able to dodge while immobilized… where is this at? Now that immobilize will be stackable they better let us dodge cuz its gonna become the most powerful condition in the game and by a long shot

Hmm at this point dodging those have pretty much become second nature. Not all them needs to be dodged either and not every instance requires using a stun breaker. Generally better not to use a stun breaker unless the situation escalates but most of my melee characters can either take a few hits.

That is actually unrelated to this thread. The title is just wrong. Immobilize is not related to the various CC skills.
