If these things are replacing actual, valuable loot on a roll, I’m very annoyed. Can’t sell them, won’t use them.

I can understand them from JP chests. Not from world chests unrelated to platforming.

I wish they dropped more personally, as it is I’ve yet to see one outside of a puzzle chest.

Talk about over-reacting. Coins are found in JP chests as an extra loot drop. I have never seen anyone mention them coming from any other world chests.

Just looted one from a chest by the Svanir Vet in wayfarer. No where near a JP.

And I wish I could sell it. Even give it away. It is less than worthless junk to me.

Platforming loot should come from platforming if it is going to be acct bound. You know, for people who actually do those things.

I randomly got one from the Temple of Dwayna chest today, so yeah it is possible to get them from chests other than jump puzzles. Is that a problem? No… if you don’t want it just delete it. I don’t get the point of whining about something you can easily remedy yourself.

I complain because it seems to replace an item of value from chests I can open one time per day.

It doesn’t take the place of any of the chest items, it’s on a separate table. So again you have no reason to complain. This is easily seen in smaller chests or if you actually knew how many items you were suppose to be getting from the chest you did open. For example I’ve been doing an easy jump puzzle with 5 characters to get some coins, its chest gives 3 items, when there is a coin, it’s a 4th item and I’m still getting 3 items in addition to it. Basically, you were complaining about getting a free item that in no way affects your other loot gain.

Can confirm, I got one off that same chest 1 hour ago.

As far as I can tell, it’s on a seperate table. This is because when I did a puzzle chest, I got two items. I did the same chest again, got 2 items and a coin. Same character, same chest, 24 hours apart.

I often pull rares from that chest on my 80s. People didn’t like porous bones for those small chests loot either and complained. This coin is worth nothing, at least the bones sold.

The coin drops are an additional drop outside of the normal loot table.

Yes it is just a joke, that’s why they created skins you can already see ingame. kitten some people just need to use their brains once in a while.

I generally get blues so the OP whining about losing out the opportunity to get rare all the time is pretty childish and not anywhere near reality. An emerald crystal is frankly a really good drop from most chests so he was being very generous.

That little area is rarely visited even though there are a ton of people standing around nearby waiting for Maw to spawn. I have gotten 2 ruby orbs from it but mostly blue greens.
I can understand the OP’s frustration and will not detract from it with further comment about whether it’s in the loot table or not. I’m no dev.

I’m not sure that the entire mega-JP rumor is just an April Fool’s joke. A month or so ago there was a dev talking about an upcoming JP that would rival Mad King. If I find the convo I’ll edit this post with a link. That said I hear Anet really likes their April Fool’s jokes, so….

It’s true. Many times I had to show people where the free chest is. I’ve gotten so many Rares/Orbs there that it pays off.
