What do you think what the coolest Miniature is? Also mention why you like that specific miniature.

Personally I like 3 the most:
- Mini Liadri the Concealing Dark because it is so darkish/evilish.
- Mini Chainsaw the Skeleton, because I like some halloween horror and…… CHAINSAWS.
- Mini Charr Car, like seriously an awesume car as minipet?

I like that new blue one from Bloodstone. The Red Spark’s animations are cool. I usually use Minis that match my character’s color scheme, so I guess those would be my favorites.

If the Devs would introduce the Mini Moa Chick, that would be my favorite.

Oh that’s a hard choice. I collect minis and I genuinely think the only ones I don’t like are the spiders.

The Helmed Racing Moa is one of my favourites, just because it looks so silly in it’s little helmet. That’s probably the one where I’ve had the most people stop and stare.

The Angry Chest is fun too. I’m a big fan of both the Discworld series and the randomness (and annoyance factor) of Mimics in DnD, so it’s a double win for me.

I also like using the Jungle Stalker on my ranger, because the stalker has been my main pet since launch, and I like having the mini one to go with it. I use the regular moas and the raven and owl a lot too for the same reason.

Oh and Ho-Ho-Tron because he’s a brilliant character and it’s a bright one which stands out.

I also like the Polar Bear, because it was my first and because I never got one in GW1.

Ok, I’ll stop there. I could be here for ages if I tried to go through all the ones I really like.

I have that one. Bought it immediately when it was first introduced. Very disappointing. Nothing like the original Black Moa Chick….sorry, should have used the correct nomenclature.

I like the Toxic Skale and the Air Elemental. The reason why I’m not fond of minis is because they get disabled in crowded places and I have to re-enable them manually (and 99% of the time I am too lazy to do that so I just forget they exist).

I’m going to say my Super Beedog, Angry Chest, and my pet Rock.

For me, Toxic krait, wooden chest and most of the twisted watchwork minis.

The mini charr car. And the pirate quaggan, of course.

Honorary mentions for the kitty cat golems from fractals (Professor Mew, et al).

I think all the mini golems are cool they match perfectly as little helpers to my asura

Mini Mr. Sparkles. It’s the only mini i like using. I like him for many reasons: 1) Is bigger than Asuras. 2) Cannot be obtained anymore – hopefully it will stay that way. 3) I like the story behind original Mr. Sparkles.

Was that really necessary to post? Just another person who thinks s/he’s a special snowflake for owning certain unobtainable pixels in a video game. Sad.

I’m actually surprised how many people picked widely available minis. I know a lot of people see cosmetics as a status symbol in this game and I was expecting more people to go for the rare, expensive or hard to obtain ones. It’s nice to see a lot of the more widely available minis, especially ones from sets 1-3, getting mentioned.

Especially because a lot of the rarer ones are pretty cool in their own right. The mini Liadri is one of my favourites, both because getting it was such a challenge for me and because of how it looks (I’m disappointed they removed the effect where you mouse over her and can see her without the darkness effect).

But it’s nice to know people appreciate the ‘common’ minis too. I sometimes feel like they get forgotten.

(On a related note does anyone else wish there was a way to randomise your mini, so it changes periodically to any of the ones you’ve obtained? I have loads and I find it hard to make sure they all get used.)

Toy Golem is great. Princess Doll is adorable.

Jungle Stalker, because the stalker pet. Air elemental because air elemental herd. Green Moa, I like moas… Sylvan Pup, fern hound is my third favorite pet.

Just out of curiosity why are you keeping your others in storage?

I still have a load of Orange Tabby Cats and Queen Jennah minis in there, partially as a nostalgia thing and partially because I never bothered to remove them.

But all my others went into the wardrobe as soon as it came out and new ones get added immediately. I love that it means they’re immediately accessible on all my characters but maybe more importantly it means they can’t be removed from my account (supposedly even Anet can’t delete stuff from the wardrobe, even if they wanted to). So I can’t lose them or accidentally delete them and if anyone ever gets into my account it’s one (very important to me) thing I don’t need to worry about.

I like the mini Spark and the mini Clockheart.

Cat golems, kittens, mini jaguar, snow leopard, stalker, etc.. All the cats. I don’t have Chauncey von Snuffles III as I seem incapable of saving up laurels for it, but if I did manage that, he would be a favourite too.

Rockfur raccoon is my favorite. I have a whole farm of them because back in 2012 when I was new and didn’t know about the invisible bags, and in the days when Deposit All would also deposit your minis to the bank, I came up with a “genius” ideea on how to keep my furry friend in my inventory: I bought an extra 250 from the HoM merchant and deposited those in the bank, so the tab was full and I always had the 251st with me.

Other minis I like are: Tequatl, Xera, Owl and Molten Effigy.

Mini snowman, for personal reasons.

Since they get hidden so often, I don’t usually even think about them… However, if I had to pick a favorite, it would be the Pet Rock.

If you have a Tiger-furred Charr Ranger with Chuka+Champawat, one of the back tigers (Brill probably looks best with other tigers), and a Tiger Ranger Pet… Tigers coming through!

I wish there was a version of it that was a bit harder to get:)

Twisted mender, easily. Cool lighting effect, quiet buzzing chopper sound effect, and when you first appear in a zone (or if it otherwise gets re-summoned) and stand still, it occasionally spins around and rebuilds itself.

The mini Snow Flurry dragon might be that. It’s the same size, body type and animation but it’s made of snowflakes and has a snow particle effect. Its gemstore and only occasionally available.

I have one and use it on one of my chars.

There are some NPCs that do not have minis but I would buy them in a second. Taimi (we have Scruffy though). Sya.

Probably my favorite thing with a mini was when I had Teq out while getting ready to do Teq. A great way to accidentally troll your party: target it by mistake when Teq has not landed yet. Yes, I got called out for doing that, fortunately the event started because it was somewhat embarrassing.

Also…The Monkey King…also because…Monkey King…I love “Into the West”(Story of the Monkey King for those who didn’t know. ). Detail is great…its just…I mean…Monkey King! Oh, and also the potion…big Monkey King and little Monkey King…2x the win!

I have Jungle Faren as well as regular Faren. Festive Faren…I don’t like the ears. Jungle Faren is a very close second to Southsun Faren IMO…there’s just no beating that little red Speedo :p

Very interesting choices, I personally also like the Mystical Dragon, he is so epic and a bit to easy to get in my opinion.

While I like a number of the flashy miniatures, I have to say my faves are the ones that look like actual animals someone might have in their presence. Topping the list of those is the beagle. It fits in perfectly to my human necromancer’s RP. After a norn’s gift of a wolf pup went sour (she’s a commoner in DR, where is she going to keep a wolf?) she found the wolf a new home at the Wayfarer shrine and her parents gave her a beagle. His name is Fredderkin Blotch Macklin the Imperious, “Blotch” for short, and it’s great not to have to just ignore the mini’s presence in my head canon for scenes.

If Tyrian cats were as well rendered as Tyrian canines, one of those would be my fave.

My favorites are Mini Elegant Llama, Mini Garm and Mini Chickennado

Got that via something or other back in Dec after launch.

I main a Reaper, so the two I use most are Zuzu, Cat of Darkness (lore says this kitty takes souls off battlegrounds so it is like a little Reaper!)

I just bought he Orrian Wraith, and I have been using him a lot lately because he is new and shiny… I love how he is animated.

I don’t really have many miniatures I like but the one I always use on my necro is that Colocl (or whatever it’s called). The dog/demon like animal with two spikes coming from it’s back (looks like griffin wings with it’s feathers plucked out). You can find those in Harathi and Dry Top.

My favourite miniatures are account-bound ones that you earn through actual gameplay. Dolyak (from the WvW season achievement, not the ticket vendor), Jade Construct, Liadri, Clockheart, Chak Gerent and Tiger Spirit are a few that come to mind.

The majority of miniatures in Guild Wars 2 lack prestige, meaning and context. Too many of them in the Gem Store early on ruined them for me. Christ, there are two Hylek miniatures sharing the exact same model. Simple humanoid character miniatures are all over the place in Set 1?Set 3 as well and barely any of them stand out. They’re just.. sort of, there.. for people to buy for 1g each..

In contrast, most of the miniatures in Guild Wars 1 were in free birthday presents. A nice amount of ones available to earn through gameplay all year round. Each one felt unique.

This is one exception. I would buy a Miniature Sya and display it all the time.
