So… with this now full on released update, it seems many things are not working properly. Dailies for example, the combo killer has issues… questionable crafting daily although its not that hard just craft 10 ores but still, making us gather 20 ores was a better idea… 25 underwater kills? I think I prefer my 60 kills daily.

I thought we only had to do 4 of the 6 dailies when I first heard about this release?

Also, i’m constantly getting disconnected and anet error report just by standing around doing nothing… and i’m hearing a lot of mini rollbacks a lot of people are getting.

Also TP is buggy and laggy as hell atm, stay away until its stable if you don’t want to lose money :/
So… how is everyone else doing?

My gaming rig is broken, I can’t even get into the game.

Right now, I’m trying to get my fix by reading the forums. By week’s end, I’ll be licking the screen or something.

It’s depressing to hear some of the bad news from this patch, but I do have hope that they’ll get things sorted out soon.

They learned nothing about how to update without breaking things and messing with their players. My experience has severely annoyed me and I’m thinking taking a break from the game for a long while, going to The Secret World waiting for Neverwinter Nights. Here is why…..

I’m in the UK and the update was late on. It was slow and I have to restart it because it near grinds to a halt giving me only a few hours. I want to do my dailies but I struggle with the combo killer one working along side a guildy but I get it done. I get them all done but crafting. I got disconnected 5 times by this point. I had 5 dailies completed but no reward so I needed my crafting with 5 minutes to go to midnight and I have to buy the ingredients and I disconnect again.

I didn’t get my daily. The new daily comes up but its late and I have to go to bed as I’m working in the morning. Not only that but I wont be home until Wednesday. Though I don’t blame Anet for missing the second daily, missing the first one compounds my anger. They could have been more thoughtful and given us ALL more time for the first daily.

As for the combo I’m not entirely familiar with them though I have used them occasionally. The thing is you need to find a killer combo and I must admit I struggled as did a guildy of mine but we finally got it. However along with the late update fiasco, the slow update, the disconnect fiasco and me not expecting the daily and not having ingredients ready for crafting well I miss the daily.

Bad workmanship Anet because you simply should have given an awful lot more than 2 and a half hours to complete a DAILY especially when you know updates can be hazardous and break things.

I use forums to give my opinions but I mostly avoid discussing over
them due to those less than polite individuals out there and their offensive attitude.

The combo killer has been removed from the weekly rotation, clearly not working as intended.

The combo finisher is gone. Patch issues are common. I’m sorry for your losses…

Today’s daily is a lot easier though.

Here’s what people thought of GW1 when it first came out: http://tinyurl.com/bntcvyc
“A release is 7 days or less away or has just happened within the last 7 days…
These are the only two states you’ll find the world of Tyria.”

Thanks Vorch. The problem is Anet should know by now that patch updates are volatile and usually have issues and so releasing a daily with only a few hours to go until it ends with a new patch is pretty bad. I expected that the daily after the patch would have been the same requirements as it was for the rest of the day before so if you had already done it you got one laurel (maybe with one or two easy additions) but not something mostly new and more difficult along with the troubles of a new patch.

I wish they would compensate the combo finisher removal by giving everyone who didn’t finish it a free laurel. I have a lot of toons to gear up with laurels, that one day (it’s not one laurel, it’s a whole day) means a lot to many people right now.

If only there was a test server.

I’m a big proponent of a PTR. That said, it wouldn’t work with monthly events which we’ve had since launch—just not enough time in the development cycle. My preference would be to put the events on the back burner while they stabilize and balance the game. Then, when they are ready, bring out events (and new content generally), but not monthly, and in conjunction with a PTR.

I dont know why they dont have open test servers. They obviously can’t test their releases properly on their own.

The extreme cost of up keeping a test server is why. Have you ever bought the server equipment and tried to make sure thousands of people could access it. No? didnt think so. Up keep costs on servers are tremendous.

You all moan sooo much!!! It was just a patch. You should be glad they gave everyone the opportunity to do the daily. They should’ve just released it at 11:59pm PST so no one could do the daily… But everyone was moaning about when it would come!!! Makes me sick, and seriously wonder why these people want to even go into game development with a bunch of customers like this….

That may be true. However, a better resolve would be, IMO, if ANet developers actually played this game often enough. If they cannot afford test servers then individuals should be continuously participating in this game.
