I thought it was time we had a dramatic screen shot thread. basically try to create a dramatic scene or action based scene in GW2 that you find dramatic or action based and screen shot it.

Wow, I really like it!

Admittedly, I was viewing the vista when these was taken, and technically the behemoth isn’t overly dramatic to any vet players, but I still like the shots.

I will update the post to “what you find dramatic or action based”

It’s always dramatic if there is a cat involved!

It appears that bears and cats have both been hanging out in photobomb school.

Oh, I have quite a few built up. Let me see if I can title them.

Showdown With a Watchknight. In the Shark Tank. Lion Fountain’s First Death. Charr Warband Drill (a series). Cornered. Triumphal Entrance.

I have soooooo many more, thanks to nearly 3 years in this game. Reining myself in now before I go more overboard than I have already.

I took this one just for this thread, but it can’t hold a candle to the ones you guys posted!

The action is taking place in the background, with that Pact airship doing an air strike. My guy is just chilling under a tree on the plateau.

OK, well no matter how angry I get at this game, it is nothing if not spectacular in the visual department.

1st pic: dramatic landscape in Cursed Shore
2nd pic: dramatic “about to get real” pre-fight shot (with awesome landscape)
3rd pic: dramatic action pic of taking a keep in the BL… with ribbons and stars?

And sorry, some were taken before I learned the Ctrl+Shift+H thing!

Do you guys use some particular configuration, sweet fx or something? My game doesn’t look like that, I and it’s running at max options as far as I know…

Here’s more from me, I apologize if someone doesn’t like Photoshop enhancements (blur etc), I’m just digging them up from my collections. These are from EU events organized by Duke and [RPS] guild.

Those pictures with their effects are fantastic. I wish I knew how to do that. I didn’t have much in my photos folder so I took a couple of quick ones. I just crafted Infinite Light yesterday to complete my guardian’s look and I’m quite pleased. I’ll have to work on getting something great, but this is what I have for now.

These are my four toons, all in mid strike.

From the most recent story….the color and shadows were great.

Hmm, I’ll have to look more thoroughly through my collection. Most ‘action’ shots I have are usually kind of a mess.

I made this screenshot when my server, Ring of Fire, defeated Tequatl for the very first time, after many failures. Yes, when it was new, Teq was really hard, not the auto-kill it is today. It was a moment to behold, with all the effects all over the screen, and the dead bodies everywhere, and all the achievements and chests popping up.

Not the best quality due to the fact that I came out of WvW onto this scene, but I do believe the natives were angry at something they called ‘RNG gods’.

I love a lot of the screenshots in this thread! GW2 has stunning visuals.

Here is one of my favorites with Twilight set against the backdrop of Stonemist castle.

funny thing is this is what I spend most of my time doing in GW2 nowadays. I’ve got a whole gallery saved up as a portfolio in hopes I can get anets attention to do this fulltime for them :P if that’s even a thing, especially with the new expansion on the way.

I think those unicorns should be pink and fluffy, though. Clearly that should be addressed in a patch some time.
