Dungeon Master
While completing those two paths a couple weeks ago for my DM title I found that people jumped at the chance to finish them. My guildmates and I had no trouble finding two pug members willing to devote the time. I recommend trying on a Friday or Saturday night if you have not already. Good luck.

I doubt that you used www.gw2lfg.com to find the required people. I agree that it is difficult to find players sharing the same interest but don’t give up yet.
it’s not hard to find people for those paths, because a lot of people want those paths for dungeon master title. unfortunately most of those people are dead weight, and what’s worse, they don’t even realize that. and if you try to explain them that they are doing something wrong or they are not prepared, they take it as an insult.
and as toxyn wrote, weekend is the best time to search players for those paths.
I completed Arah 4 tonight. gw2lfg.com is the best.
It took a while to get a group, but I expected as such mid-week. Don’t forget that even getting a group, there’s a chance you will fail if it’s puggy. Have to just suck it up and try again later.
Anet should add gw2lfg to the game already.
Trying to pug stuff like that is infinitely inferior to finding a guild and friends to play with.
The downside of pugs is that you don’t know who you’re going to get. In a guild you meet people, play with them, learn who is who and what to expect. You form natural teams of people who play well together and have a good time together.
I recently finished (with my guild) Crucible of Eternity on every path. I have to say, that dungeon basically sucks. We have the submarine path down pretty okay but the other two just bite. Really really really bite.
So yeah, why would anyone randomly want to do it. At least with guildies, they back you up, and don’t rage quit..at least mine don’t. They muscle through, figure things about and you can talk about it later.
Remember that time in CoE when Coffee had to solo the boss because everyone else died….and we kept waiting for him to die so we could restart, but he just kept going and beat him. Yeah, that really happened.
Anyway guilds usually have voice software which makes completing dungeons a whole lot easier.

Explaining what is going on goes a long way to nullifying those perceived insults. There’s nothing worse than going into a dungeon and seeing someone, who has made it quite clear that they have never done it before, stand in the wrong spot and cause a wipe… and then get yelled at and kicked for doing the wrong thing. In my experience, the people who don’t listen, or are simply so awfully bad at playing that they should reroll a Warrior, are very rare. Most people will listen and do what they are told if for no other reason than that they want to successfully complete the content… And every person that gets it explained to them is one more experienced player that isn’t going to kitten up the next PUG.
You know what I found hilarious? Back in the first week of September people demanding only lvl 80s with full exotics and that have done the dungeon before to do CoF runs. Yeah… You can’t teach stupid.

uhm. i don’t think its fair to compare coe to cof3/arah4 paths. because even if you have terribad group in coe you can solo the alpha and carry your group. therefore you have a chance even if you have couple bad players in group.
in cof3/arah4 if you have 2 bad players in group. you don’t stand a chance.
and by bad i don’t mean new players. i mean players who lack skills and ability to improve them.

I don’t know anyone who can solo the destroyer crab in the “front door” path of CoE. Just saying. And no one could possibly solo the mutant destroyer, since you need 3 people on guns. lol

I did, but i play at weird hours, so that might be the reason that the only thing you can see on there is “path 1 speed run! Need a Mes!”
Ty for all the help though people.

“solo the alpha” sir. yeah you need some teamwork for coe3 destroyer.
crab.. what about him? tbh i could never understand what people find wrong with him. we always kill him when helping someone to do coe3. never had any difficulty with him

We kill him too, but with his damage output, I’m thinking he’d be hard to solo.

Didn’t they make CoF p3 easier? That was my favorite CoF path.

Yep, that would be me. How you doing? lol
I left that forum, for a bevy of reasons I’d rather not go into.

Sorry to here that, but to answer your question, Im doing alright. I just got out of Arah path 4 after 5.5 hours, and Ive really only got two things to say; kitten Dwayna, that was the lamest thing I have ever done in my life, I will never go back, and…Man do I feel like a kittenin Champ right now! WHOOOOOOOOOOO
Arah is one of the few dungeons I haven’t tackled yet. Mostly because I’m lazy. I mean yeah I’ve done story mode, and I tried explorable mode back when Giganticus Lupicus was bugged, and haven’t gone back in since. I suppose I have to though. I want to at least see the content.

Other than Dwayna, its really not to bad, After about 2 runs, you will master Lupi. Hes really not to hard, and we rarely wipe on him anymore. However, Dwayna in path 4 is really the only one that I feel goes against Arena Nets terminology of, any class/gear combo should be able to complete any content/dungeon. In that situation, I don’t see how you could complete it with guardians, necros, or engis. I honestly feel its near impossible without multiple Zerker warriors.
I did it as a guardian. Not all guardians do crap damage. 80% crit damage goes a long way.
P3 CoF can be easily done with a party that has 3 people with spy kits for the beginning, and 2 warriors to charge past the bombs later on, to duo the champ and get the WP.
As for p4 arah, there ARE groups that run it, it’s all about knowing who to take with you for Dwayna. You have to take charge in putting these groups together as typically PUG groups are full of members who don’t know what they’re getting into when it comes to those two paths.

Just ran P3 CoF a couple of nights ago.
I shared your concerns along with every other loud opponent of DR in Nov and I’ve been sharing them ever since. DR must go, it will destroy this title like it has all others, it only serves to harm the players and with recent evidence (whole chests disappearing) it’s only getting worse. This is one of the reasons I came to this title because it was never supposed to be about dungeons, and this is one of the problems dungeon only games face. Discrimination based on class and gear are two others.

What exactly makes Simin so difficult? Is it because she heals herself?
-BnooMaGoo.5690
Simin’s difficulty comes in a couple flavors.
First issue is simply getting people to position correctly to get all the wisps to fall into the shields correctly.
Second issue is getting petrification removed quickly.
Third issue is the group having enough DPS to burn Simin down.
Someone getting agro of a spark while petrified means that Simin will heal up far far more than she should and can even be enough to just reset the fight.
Not removing petrification can make a dps light group lose enough dps that you never make progress.
The easiest method is to take simin to 50%, then only place 4 sparks, let her heal to full. Burn down to 50% and immediately place the last wisp and burn the other 50%.
If you can’t do that, then you will have to get all 5 wisps in. Which can be a hassle to say the least.
Simin isn’t difficult. It’s just that there’s very little room for inefficiency/mistakes.

It’s just funny. Whenever I hear people complain about arah path 4, it’s always about Simin. I assumed Simin was a boss similar to lupicus, only more difficult. Out of curiosity, I looked her up on youtube.
My response: “That was it?”
