Q:

Are you guys allowing turrets to receive bleeding, poison, torment, and confusion? If so, this is the first game that I have ever played that turrets bleed, get sick, have mental disorder, or pain.

But then, again, who cares about logic?

A:

Logic never existed.
I can make rock golems bleed, fire elemental burn, ooze poison … since day -3

Many fire creatures have burning immunity, but you are right. I’m also a pre-purchaser.

We can play the logic game if you really want – you just have to be a bit imaginative!

Poisons? Easy peasy – a corrosive poison eating away the turrets! Bleed? Pretend you’re causing said machinery to leak vital fluids/lubrication/etc, leading them to overheat or jam up.

Imagination++!

So turrets will get up on their tiny legs and run away now when they get hit with fear?

I really like the way you see it, and totally agree.

About fear, a dev said that they won’t move, but the interruption and damage in a necro is traited for it will be applied

I meant my post in a silly, sarcastic manner.

I don’t know….might be kinda funny seeing them scream in a little metalic voice “run away!!!!”, hop up on some tiny little feet and scramble a few feet away.

I actually figured this one out. Bleeding is an Oil Leak. Poison is tainted oil. Confusion is a bug in the programming. For Chill ya’ll better get out some Anti-Freeze. I am not sure how to justify Torment, but it’s possible that some very cruel Asura taught/programmed Turrets to feeeeeeel.

Ah and Daze/Interrupt similar to Confusion could be an internal bug resulting in a systems delay/slowness.

Bleeding = Oil Leak
Poison = Tainted Oil
Confusion = Bug in the Controling System
Burning = Melted System
Chill = Frozen Mechanisms
Vulnerability = Rusted Mechanisms
Weakness = Wearout
Stun = Electrical Discharge
Daze = Strong Hitted simply
Knockdown = Strong Hit from above
Knockback = Auto Destruction/ Pierced through/crushed mechanisms making it unable to stand anymore… = making Knockbacks a good hard counter to Turret Spam, favors LB Rangers for example then.
Torment = Magical Crushing of Mechanisms/ Acid destroying systems
Slow = Magical Reducement of Attack Speed/ Overheating of Systems
Cripple = Can’t deal critical hits anymore, Weapon malfunctions, unable to deal critical hits with a crippled weapon, so basikally works like Weakness
Fear = Data Overflow of the Sensors, Interrupts Attack System
Taunt = You get simple the attention of the Turret as it takes you into focus

Personally I like the idea behind sub classes ~ quoted from Chris Whiteside

There was logic used, it was just poor.

You can read the reasoning here: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/pvp/Proposed-Changes-for-Engineer-Turrets/first

TL;DR – It’s a minion, it should function like one.

Sadly Engie minions still aren’t smart enough to be mobile even though we have invented wheels and propulsion.
