Escape from WvW
uh huh. not sure if trolling.
I don’t agree with you. I’m not a big pvp person myself, but a neverending supply of content isn’t truly feasible, even for Blizzard who has more money than God. There are two routes you can go to fix this: sandbox elements, or PVP. Arenanet has decided to go the latter route, and I myself much prefer it over the dungeon spamming gear grind that other games do.
Of course, we do have ascended gear to chase after now, but since they went the crafting route with it, I’m actually quite happy about it.
I don’t play WvW and have not really found the content lacking in any way shape or form.
I can’t agree by the slightest. WwW is so huge, complex, teamwork if wanted/needed, basicly loads of possibilities for players.
Basicly, it could easely have been its own game by itself.
You cant complain and say Battlefield is a waste of time/timesink, same with Call of Duty, “FiFA”, Age of Empires etc etc etc etc ………
You dont buy Battlefield because there is a great looking weapon in the game somewhere you would like to take a screenshot of, you buy it because you like the thrill of the fight and action.
You dont play WwW to get better armor or more cash, you play it because you like the thrill of competing with other players or be godlike PWN!
Now have me exscused, me got some noobs to pester and destroy!"
World world World?

WvW, the only endgame that matters.

Hmmm, so WvW is the GW2 end game eh?
Who would have thought I have been playing for a year and a half now and I still don’t play the end game.
PvE – 500+ days
WvW – <5 days
PvP – 0 days
I guess you don’t need the ‘End Game’ to have fun
What is WwW? o.O is it an Alien-face? :O

You certainly don’t, but it certainly kept me in GW2. Without WvW, I would’ve been gone about a year and a half ago and never come back, since I prefer open world and dislike dungeons. GW2’s open world is big, but rather limited in diversity. Would love for a Cantha or Elona expansion. Only came back on the off chance that I discovered how awesome WvW is on one of those nights I got bored of my other games. Have spent around 1200 hours in WvW since then (around 4 hours a day)

WvW is the only “Living” and actual dynamic content in game.

I have been playing since pencil and paper, so my opinion might be dated.
I never liked the PVP at all, just my own opinion. I was in WvW doing the Mapping when I came a cross a commander that had been ganked. I ressed him and he asked me to help him regain a tower. We killed 8 defenders and then defended the tower for 2 hours until additional player arrived. It was fun, we were on TS3 talking tactics the whole time. That was really enough for my nerves, as I needed to take a break. If I was 18, I could probably handle all day WvW or PvP, but at 50, PVE is all my nerves can handle for more than an hour.
Sadly it’s the only “endgame” that gets attention. Even if it is limited.
The only content I care about right now is dungeons – WvW is just uninteresting to me.
Just waiting for next MMO arrivals and I’m jumping on the bandwagon out of Tyria.

WvW is the best thing in GW2.
PvP will always have more lasting power than PvE. It requires much less developer input to keep fresh.
If you don’t like PvP, it’s unfortunate, but until someone comes up with a really good way to get the playerbase developing quality PvE content, it will be true.
WvW and PvP is the end game to have some fun. PvE is limited because there’s no item grinding options in gw2, after you get all ascended, legendary and best-in-slot items, PvE is over, there’s no reason to farm dungeons over and over ever again after this point. In other games what keeps people to play pve is item grinding. For example, in WoW you do raids to get some gear drops and share them with the guild. In an item-balanced game like this, PvE can’t give you any better reward after you easily get all the best stat items. WvW and PvP are what keeps hardcore players playing in Gw2 after they pass the point I describe above. I really wish they equally develop PvP/WvW and PvE together. In previous 1 year of gw2, PvE obviously got more attention while sPvP is still looks like a beta, WvW still has many issues including lag, pop issues etc.
End game is WwW mate
To some, but to others not so much.
I sometimes see WvW as a elaborate mini game at best and a strange hybrid experiment that is still ongoing at worst.
Dungeons and Fractals are my end game, that and surviving Karkha island solo.
Hmmm, so WvW is the GW2 end game eh?
Depends who you ask really.
What is WwW? o.O is it an Alien-face? :O
Will asume that is a serious question. If not no need to read further.
WwW = World world World or alternatively World vs world vs World of more commonly WvW / World versus World. Its that thing in the mists where 3 servers fight each other (i.e. why there are 3 ‘w’, but I commonly see people simply referring to it as WvW).
