Heya!

I know this has been suggested a few times before but it would be such an amazing option. What is this option you speak of? Well, as most of you know the Eternity switches during day- and night time. Both being complete opposite colors, dawn is more bright (orange/white/yellow) while dusk is more (black, abyss, night). They do not fit in one dye scheme, either it’s off during day or either night. My personal preference goes to the dawn version, I love the bright shiney orange blade! But when it turns night my character bugs me because it doesn’t fit well together anymore. I’d not only help me but everyone else who has eternity if there were to be an option to toggle between dawn and dusk. I am not a techincal person to know whenever that is easy or hard to make but from what I have seen, it shouldn’t be all too hard? It’s a minor thing that would help me and probably a lot of other players out as well!

If it bothers you that much, stop at crafting Sunrise instead – there’s no stat difference between the two. Or just use transmutes.

Personally I hate the things, they look horrific and the effects are horrible when combined with high movement GS skills – Guardian and Warrior 2 spring to mind.

Well, I do like the shiney shaft as well as it’s footprints better than Sunrise itselfs, unfortunately. Otherwise I would have switched yes. ;o

I thought if you have Eternity you also have the skins in your wardrobe for the 2 other Legendaries. Why not transmute to the one you want instead of asking for a toggle to get the one you want.

Edit: you want the footprints. /shrug.

Be careful what you ask for
ANet may give it to you.

There aren’t any other weapons that offer such a feature, so I can’t see them adding it unless they introduce additional weapons with effect toggles. It seems like too niche of a feature to implement otherwise.

I am having the same issue about the skin swap. To solve that i just crafted Sunrise and Twilight and stopped there. My main equip the desired sword and save the other in bank or sharing bag inventory slot so my other cha can use it.

When one day i decided to combine them, means i am going to sell the Eternity.

When I get eternity I’m gonna solve this by using armor for one skin and an outfit for the other (in my case: noble human at day and vampire at night)

This game has so many bugs and problems, I think the developer timer can be spend much more profitable than for this.

There aren’t other weapons that offer this feature, but there are also no other weapons like Eternity, which is made from 2 legendaries. I would say it’s incredibly high cost is well worth this small improvement which many Eternity owners have asked for. I myself preffer to have mine switch automatically day/night, I like the duality thus expressed, but almost all others I have spoken to would preffer to have it selectable.

Thing about legendary weapons is that they’re already in extremely high demand, regardless of any/all of their problems. People would love it if Eternity had a switch, and it is an incredibly expensive weapon, but people are still making it without that option.

I know it seems like a small thing, but it’s a feature that serves only an incredibly small community, and it encourages behavior (crafting Eternity) that needs no additional encouragement. If they’re going to build that kind of switching tech, I want to see them use it on more weapons to justify it. Otherwise, it seems like a waste of effort.

I agree with you. The current mechanics has stopped a lot of player to craft and equip it, instead the only value is to obtain sunrise and twilight then sell eternity on TP. It dont behaves like the most expensive weapon afterall.
