Nobody said they ruined his life, they just ruined the game. And there is also nothing to get over here, either the game is fun an you spend money on it to reward the devs or it is as stupid, brainless grind and you spend your money on something else.

This thread is more about the question whether Arena Net will tell us where they heading to or not.

First of all 10k people are enough to determine the election results for a country of over 80 million, so they are more than enough to determine whether something goes south or not.

It’s also very important that players who hate and love vertical progression showed the same playstyle before the Lost Shore patch. The goal for both was to get to exotics, the only difference was the those who hate vertical progression did this so they could start doing what they wanted to to while those who love vertical progression did it cause their goal simply is to get gear.

If Arena Net is not stupid as hell they know by now that they made a huge mistake and pissed of enough of the community to hurt them badly. This was obvious after they announced the patch content and it’s even more obvious now since we now know that things are even worse than we expected them to be.

I like your election analogy – if the forums were considered “going to the polls to vote”, Arena Net lost this election by a landslide!

I’m more taken aback by the lack of PR on this – avoiding the concerns and not addressing them head-on leads me to believe they don’t care about their fan base (which is probably far from the truth). The people posting (for or against) are passionate about this game and obviously want it to succeed. I’d be more scared if I saw apathy coming from the masses.

I’m expecting a lot from the AMA this afternoon as it will probably determine whether or not I’ll be a customer of ANET moving forward.

Me too. We have a great thread here with a good collection of questions (https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/Preparing-for-the-upcoming-AMA-on-Reddit/page/4#post859502). I expect a clear and honest answer to all the elephant in the room questions tonight or I will take my money to another company.

Anet has already demonstrated that they are not interested in debating or discussing these issues further. They closed other threads, including the “big one,” without so much as a clarifying comment. That’s who they are, and if you thought otherwise, their actions have now spoken louder than words.

The big thread was nothing but people fighting. It was to the point where it was not even a productive discussion. Did you really need a reason for them to close it? Thought it was pretty obvious why it was closed…. I requested it be closed like 2 weeks ago… im sure others did the same because it really was a disgusting thread that was not a civil discussion anymore.

Also they have demonstrated that they are interested in discussing things…. otherwise there would not be a interview today on reddit…. stop omitting things just because you are bitter and mad. You only see what you want to see is basically whats going on here.

They have to be very careful what they say, just because they haven’t responded in your chosen time frame doesn’t mean they don’t care. Quite the opposite im sure.
