1)Lets make this known right away, for heavy armor charr the grenth hood Clips badly with armor and by that i mean almost all shoulders and chest pieces please fix this before it becomes obtainable.

2) Charr need an anatomy fix and or special attention when it comes to gear because the slouched posture ruins so many armors that might look great if charr stood tall.

Why a Charr would wear a mask/hood based on a human god o_O?

I thought they made it clear(Anet), they could give a rat’s rear end how charr and all other non-human races look in armor. I complained for months about Norn having over-sized weapons and weapons clipping in the arms during idle animations.

Then they put up a big sticky saying there’s not much they “can” do about clipping.

i took alot more but my point has been made and really it just kinda shows armor and charr just dont mix.

Norn have it a lot better than male Sylvari. Most of our armors are comically oversized and/or have a skirt effect that blows hanging parts a foot from our bodies (see HotW heavy armor for a good example of the skirt effect).

Tbh, I think they shouldn’t have had non-human races altogether. It slows down armor designing, it creates more problems to solve and since most people just play humans anyways, I’m not sure what value it brings to the table.

Variety? I love my Charrs, even though some armours look horrible on it (it’s not only their backs, but also their knees, which make skirt-like armours look weird, and their tails which often just appear through the fabric).

I actually find humans boring to play, in terms of looks…

Part of me really wishes they wouldn’t have introduced Charr as a race. I understand some people really like Charr and I wouldn’t mind playing one if there was more armor available. There is unarguable a big differences between the Charr model and other playable race model’s that makes armor extremely difficult to get right for them. I also remember that before the game released Charr where the main reason we didn’t get cape’s like the original game. Due to the slouched poster the capes couldn’t be designed in a way that they looked proper on a Charr.

I don’t think there is really any way to fix this and obviously removing Charr from the game isn’t going to happen.

Actually many armors can be fixed easily on charr, its just that they dont give a kitten.

Im not surprised that noone plays it with so many clipping issues in current state, i do sometimes wonder why i dindt picked human myself.

Other than T3, Charr doesn’t look good in anything. Might as well run around naked.

Bad news bro. Anet has straight up said they can’t be bothered to invest time in fixing issues charr have with armor.

Best get used to it now to save yourself from future frustration and disappointment.

Oh, there are some very nice looking armours on Charr… I agree you don’t have a full selection, but then, I had a harder time to find something decent for my human male necromancer…. (why on earth would he want to wear a skirt!?!?!?!)

And about updating armour for Charr, there is one armour they really should update, and that’s the light T3 cultural one…. It’s an outrage that there is a cultural armour that doesn’t fit a Charr tail…

Even the heavy T3 helmet clips with the face and teeth. It’s about time they spend some time cleaning up armour on charr.

Bu you gotta weigh the benefits to the costs. I’m just thinking of how Anet might’ve actually made more armor skins in game if the other races didn’t exist.

Why dont they remove the back part, anf keep just the hood with that bone sticking out? I tried in pvp mists to find perfect mix of gear with that hood for my human necro and couldnt find 1 that would actualy look cool. Any idea for that?

I think the biggest issue is the back part, making it look strange. When i looked the pictures it might be because its so in the lore …. but they could merge it with shoulders or chest part if they ever make it and not head.
