So there appears to be a chest that definitely has a skin token inside, as well as the RNG type. A more expensive version only from Gem store which guarantees the skin and a cheap version that also drops in game, but which has a small chance at the skin?

I’m hoping so anyway, its a step in the right direction.

I just don’t want any RNG at all and it upsets me that these weapons are yet again RNG based. The only thing that would do justice with this kind of RNG is to make the weapon tickets (or skins themselves) sellable on the TP.

“You can find” does not mean “You will find”. And it definitely doesn’t mean “You will find everytime”.

I’m pretty sure, it will be RNG in both chests with the gem-store chest maybe having a slightly increased probability compared to the dropping chest .

I so second this.
SAB box did it right though. RNG ones you were able to sell on the TP, not RNG ones you could get trough repeating the same content for a lot of the time.
Or at least make it the same situation as Flame and Frost dye kits – you could play the RNG game on the gem store, or you can buy dyes very expensively from people that did get them.

Maybe I’m just getting my hopes up that there will be a guarantee’d way of getting the skin, especially after seeing the pics on Guru, they look just slightly awesome….

Fair improvement, if this is how it’s going to work, which I doubt. But I’m still not spending a dime until I see an OFFICIAL declaration that crap like the MA weapons will never happen again. And some kind of compensation for the (millions of, at this point) players who have financially supported ANet and received nothing for it. One single event where they do what’s right by the players is not a sign that they’re turning a new leaf.

ANet lost my respect and my trust, one event isn’t going to make it come back. I’m not giving them an inch of leeway until I see something in writing and I don’t encourage anyone else to either.

How about new content without cash shop RNG?

I would interpret that as the Rich Dragon Coffers has a higher chance of a weapon ticket while the drdagon coffer (similar to SS crate) has a lower chance

This. Expect “rarely” to mean “unlikely, you wish,” and “can find” to mean “it’s rng like usual”.

Wouldn’t it be amazing if they actually added a cash shop item at a moderate price that was a guaranteed ticket? Keep the RNG coffer in-game for those willing to grind away at a chance, while allowing for those that have decided to purchase it directly to do so.

I don’t see this happening based upon the previous skin’s offerings. I have to agree with Vol this time, because that’s exactly how I’ve read it. Or should I say; that’s exactly how I’ve been ‘conditioned’ to read that sentence.

Compensation for the people who support the game and received nothing for it? How about the game? That’s a bit more than nothing, and to be honest, the skins are a very small part of the updates so far. To state we have received nothing in return is a bit melodramatic to say the least.

I’m going to get my hopes up this time. Joining the wailing and crying is too much effort.

yeah that’s what i take from that it “is rich has higher chance and maybe can be buy from shop. while the small is like the southsun cove chest.”
