Guild Wars 2

We know that Guild Missions will take place in the open world, so that anyone around can participate and get rewarded, but exactly what rewards do they get? If I participate in another guild’s mission, do I get the same Commendations, coin, and loot rewards as that guild’s members?

Apparently you do not get commendations. I really hope this is looked at and you can get them from helping out other guilds in their missions.

This has been answered on other threads (buried probably too far to find).

Current understanding:

The rewards you get for not belonging to the guild that started the mission are consistent with other Dynamic Events.

Thanks. I do recall seeing some discussion on it, but not which info was guesswork or any type of official statement. Unfortunately the forums search doesn’t make it easy to find that. And as you said, it’s likely buried in a merged mega-thread.

Hopefully this isn’t the case.

They can still by bought through laurels, but that is much more costly in both time (40 laurels) and money (50 ecto).

Id like to know this too. My guess is no, since Arenanet has demonstrated an uncanny ability to fragment communities and make decisions without looking 10 steps ahead of them.

I’m guessing no, as well. But I asked here because I’d rather have a definite answer.

I think non-members should at least be rewarded Commendations+standard Dynamic Event rewards, and maybe save the extra coin/item rewards for members.

Nice find, that answers it pretty clearly. So there’s really no point in going along with another guild’s mission unless you just really want to do what (for a non-member) is just another random dynamic event.
