Guild Wars 2

The 3000AP chest lets you choose between the Hellfire or Radiant Vambraces and at 6000 you choose between the two Mantles. I’m just curious to know if we’ll eventually get another shot at the ones we don’t choose, or is this a once off deal?

There are no boots, pants or chests in the game files, so unless they’ve been holding back and plan on releasing them with the second half of BotFW…

Anyways, I don’t think they’ll add them, because they’ll also need to add a “hide” button for them, and hiding your pants, shirt, and shoes is kind okittenward.

Obviously radiant. Hellfire is the same mould as Cof gear. I remember during release, EVERYONE was wearing that set because they liked the darkness and the flames and what not. But because everyone had it, it grew tiring pretty quick.

Or maybe you get the same weapon choices again so if you picked up radiant you can start getting hellfires ones.

We don’t know that, all we know is that we get a choice of which one to pick up at 3000, 6000 and 9000 AP, maybe if you pick one set you’ll be able to pick the other one at 12000, 15000 and 18000, or maybe it’ll be a different one. We’ll just have to wait and see.

I say go to the mists, check out the PvP locker and preview them all with the 3 pieces they have made already to see which set you like better.

I’d get Radiant first,Hellfire is very similar to CoF,and there is no Radiant equivalent in game

The Flame armor stuff is the most boring(everybody has it due to CoF grind) and actually jarring to my feeling about the heroic part one is supposed to play in this game.

It just looks too demonic and actually makes no sense(to me).
Radiant it is, even if everybody and their mum runs around with it.

Radiant. The hellfire stuff looks horrible, and we already have spiky fiery armor.

The radiant set better suits my mentality and the type of characters i preffer and besides, all of my characters are norn/sylvari/asura/human females and the radiant set isn’t really feminine but the hellfire set is even further from it lol.
And yeah, the over-abused cof gear makes the hellfire set look a bit boring.

Radiant. Hands down.

Perfectly tailored to my recurrent requests for more… “Simple but detailed” looking armor.

What I mean by that is that it’s armor that looks like actual armor, simple in overall design, but with nice details. I’m not a fan of the overly flamboyant and exotic stuff that ends up looking more like an horrible accident at Walmart than fantasy armor. Always thought CoF armor was tailor made for 15 year old kids whose idea of “cool” is being black and having flames.

Now if only they’d do some similar weapons… I’d literally kill for a one handed sword or greatsword that was basically a simple design (think Krytan sword), but with a shinning blade (such as the shine on radiant armor). Bonus points if it also left a very faint trail in the air.

Radiant. Most definitely radiant. Hellfire looks like CoF 2.0 and having in mind that we won’t have another shot at it – radiant.

i would chose hellfire gloves for my charr engineer but if i can only chose 1 then it is radiant
(i would use the canach gloves for engineer but i accidently took them for heavy armor and now they are just in my bank never used … :/ )

I have to say hellfire, not because I think it looks like cof armor, I don’t really see it, sure it’s firey, but more importantly, it’s destroyer armor, and I loved destroyer weapons in gw1, this game as well

Hellfire’s demonic alien helm looks much better than radiant’s helm, in my opinion. Outside of that, Radiant is more unique, and more elegant and subtle while still looking really nice.

This game needs more simple/ elegant/ majestic cool-looking equipment. There’s too many bland, generic pieces of equipment; too many clothes that are too busy with unnecessary details; and too much overly flashy stuff.

My elementalist is wearing CoF armor, not because I love looking like Sauron, but because it’s only one of the very few male scholar armors that I find to be good looking. If someday anet makes some really nice elegant/ majestic/ lordly scholar armor, I’ll pick it, but until then, I much prefer my “noob” Sauron armor than looking like a fashion disaster.

Actually you can get all of them. They come back around at 12000, 15000 and 18000.
Although how long it’ll take to get that many AP I have no idea _

Buy a cosmetic kit and dye your sylvari silver with a white glow.

I played around with the looks and made my Human look like this.

tbh most people i asked had the same answer as you, so everyone will have radiant and grew tiring pretty quick just like with cofs.

well hello in 1st time im back after 3 days. I will go for Radiant in this time. since fix most of all classes and is less repetitive.

It’s not like that, I’m sure most will get Hellfire despite it being too obvious and overused themed everywhere in the game.

Hellfire just seems to close to what we already have available….ie cof/fused.

Went with hellfire, as the fused weapon kind of dictates a fire theme now.

Ah, so they didn’t want to make the effort of actually finishing the armor set. Figures.

And seeing as radiants don’t go well with any armor, while hellfires kittenay only with CoF… without being able to get a whole set I’m pretty sure i won’t be using either.
