Home Instance Question

I know that some home instances change more than others, but it’s not really the instances that change, so much as the people in them. As an Asura you’ll have your krewe, the ones you chose, for example, in your home instance.
My Sylvari saved a couple of people and those people ended up in my home instance (along with some animal I’m not going to tell you about. lol).
It’s not a huge deal though.
If you finish the meta achievement of the Bazarre of the Four Winds, you’ll get a crystal node spawning in your home instance as well.
Over all though the home instance has been underwhelming and under-utilized.
My main concern was that they said a while back that player housing was on their list. I think they may add it there and that would increase how much it is utilized.

Honestly, it’s not even obvious that the home instance changes…at all. There is rarely a reason to go there, and most people probably don’t unless they have to. Which is really too bad. The potential could have been awesome.
I’m hoping they are planning some big changes for them.
The only thing I noticed was a bunch of Quaggan in a fountain- I have no idea where they come from.
Oh and some Order people
You know, I recently went to my Home Instance to check out what might have changed, on my Asura (main).
I am nearly finished with her Personal Story. There was not even one person in the instance that would speak (Press F to ‘talk’). I have to say I was a bit underwhelmed. =(
The home instance is money in the bank for Anet. I bet you 20g that within the next year some part of the LS is going to utilize it, or add more stuff to it, or whatever. The crystal node is only the beginning…

Having a avatar home for each character is a must to help maintain interest in the game as well as a source of revenue generating since many players would consider making these homes very personalised. Especially if players can furnish their character homes uniquely as in: based on their race the fight class, crafting equipment – say a forge for the metal trades or a cooking stove for chefs to name a few. The list can and is endless.
I didn’t even know there was a home instance until all this talk about the node from the meta. I went to mine for the first time yesterday and the only thing in there was a NPC of my ex-girlfriend complaining I need to clean the place up.
I want to be able to decorate my home instance….. let me buy home items with gold/gems and let me change out furniture or whatever….
I definitely want housing, I don’t know if I want it in my home instance though. I guess it would make sense to put them in there, but I dunno. I kind of would like a more robust system and one that’s more out in the open somehow, maybe Wildstar-like ….:)
The home instance has been under-utilized, though…Not enough changes seem to occur over all…I think this was partially due to deadlines and time constraints, though. Sort of like how human characters were supposed to be able to choose their cultural origin and have parts of their story reflect that more extensively. That’s on top of the social class part.
It seems like most people are having trouble getting to their home instances because they do not know where they are. A nice addition would be a Waypoint right to it.

I found mine pretty easy thanks to a quick wiki search:

Pretty much your first story mission at level 3 takes you to your home instance :P
